Happy Hedgehogs So Nice Tree |
C ute thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Garden Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of light green leaf sprays on dark green background design from Heart & Home 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/8" x 4-5/8" from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 4-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2" x 4" from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Happy Hedgehogs Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the tree image from the Happy Hedgehogs Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vanilla rectangle as close to the top as possible.
Mount the mushroom image from the Happy Hedgehogs Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it just to the right of the tree and slightly lower on the vanilla rectangle.
Mount the "it's so nice of you to be so nice" sentiment from the Happy Hedgehogs Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it at the bottom of the vanilla rectangle in the center. Get as close to the bottom as possible.
Use the Soft Succulent Marker to color in the leaves and grass stems.
Use the Real Red Marker to color in the cap of the mushroom.
Adhere the stamped and colored vanilla rectangle to the center of the smaller Cinnamon Cider rectangle.
Adhere the matted vanilla rectangle to the Heart & Home Designer Paper rectangle so it is about 1/4" from the top, bottom, and right edges.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the Soft Succulent 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the designer paper/cardstock rectangle so it is centered in the space between the bottom of the tree and the top of the sentiment. Flip the rectangle over and secure the ends of the ribbon in place with small strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape and add more adhesive to the back of the designer paper rectangle. Adhere it to the center of the large Cinnamon Cider rectangle.
Adhere the matted designer paper rectangle to the front of the Garden Green card.
Mount the larger hedgehog image from the Happy Hedgehogs Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right end of the horizontal Cinnamon Cider strip. Leave room to punch it out.
Unlock the Hedgehog Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped hedgehog into the punch and get it centered in the matching punching area. Punch.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the hedgehog punch out to the front of the card so he overlaps the left edge of the matted tree rectangle and the ribbon on the left side of the card as shown.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Soft Succulent 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front so it is just below the right edge of the mushroom image. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 5 jewels from a sheet of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them over the centers of the open flowers on the tree image.
