'God's Peace' Candle Card - Beginner Crafter |
|
A 4" x 6" Christmas Card featuring the God's Peace Stamp Set from the Autumn/Winter 2019 Catalogue, Watercolor Pencils & Aqua Painters.
|
Take a piece of Soft Suede Cardstock measuring 8" x 6" and with the 8" edge at the top of your Stampin' Trimmer or Simply Scored Board score down at the 4" mark.
Fold the scoreline and burnish using a bone folder.
Take a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper measuring 3 1/4" x 3 1/2" and using the Jet Black Stazon Ink stamp the Candle image from the God's Peace Stamp Set.
Using watercolor pencils, colour the image then take the Aqua Painter and paint over the pencil marks to turn them into watercolour.
I used:-
Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Real Red and Whisper White from the Watercolor Pencils Pack.
Gorgeous Grape from the Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2 Pack.
Using Stazon Ink, stamp the 'God's Peace' sentiment at the top of the card base, about 1/2" from the top edge.
Using the Stamparatus, centralise the Poinsettia Border stamp closely under the sentiment and stamp using Stazon Ink. Move the image across to the left of the stamped border, re-ink the stamp then stamp again. Repeat to the right of the original stamped border.
Colour the Poinsettias using Real Red and Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencils then paint over the pencil marks with the Aqua Painter to turn it into watercolour.
To build your card, take a piece of Smoky Slate Cardstock measuring 3 3/8" x 3 5/8" and adhere the watercolour image to it using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Attach this panel to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals as shown in the photo.
Your card is now complete - sit back and admire your handiwork.
