'God Is Love' Easel Easter Card |
|
A 6"x4" Easel Card suitable for Easter or other Christian events.
|
|
Take a piece of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock measuring 11 1/2" x 4" and, with the long side butted to the top of your trimmer/Scoreboard, score at 2 7/8" & 5 3/4".
Using your Bone Folder fold and burnish the score lines as shown.
Take a piece of Lemon Lime Twist (LLT) Cardstock measuring 5 3/4" x 4". Attach a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 5 9/16" x 3 11/16" on top of the LLT piece leaving an even border all round.
Using your SNAIL or Liquid Adhesive, apply the adhesive around the edges of the lower rectangle of your card front. Lining up the edges so they are flush to the base, adhere the panel from step 3 to your card front. This forms the basic easel.
Take a piece of LLT Cardstock measuring 5 3/8" x 3 5/8" and, using the floral branch stamp from the His Grace Stamp Set, stamp diagonally across the Cardstock as shown, inking the stamp each time with Granny Apple Green Classic Ink.
Take a piece of 3 7/16" x 2 9/16" Whisper White Cardstock and using the same stamp as in Step 5, ink with Granny Apple Green Classic Ink. Before stamping the panel, stamp twice on scrap paper then stamp onto the panel as shown, repeating the stamp off each time. This leaves a much lighter, 3rd generation image.
Using the 'May His precious GIFT be yours' stamp and Granny Apple Green ink, stamp the image in the centre of the panel you decorated in Step 6.
On a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock and Granny Apple Green ink, stamp the 'God is Love' banner and 3 butterflies from the 'His Grace' stamp set.
Take a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 5 1/2" x 3 3/4" and, using SNAIL or Liquid Adhesive, attach this panel to the inside of the card base.
Take a piece of LLT Cardstock measuring 3 5/8" x 2 9/16" and attach the 'May His precious GIFT be yours' panel using SNAIL or Liquid Adhesive and leaving an even border.
Using Stampin' Dimensionals, attach the panel to the lower half of the inside of your card. This forms the 'stopper' for the easel.
Using the 'Cross of Hope' Framelits and the Big Shot, die cut the elements as shown in the photo.
Using the Fine Tip Glue Pen, build the cross as shown and attach the 'God is Love' banner to the foil banner.
Attach Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the cross and banner as shown.
Attach the cross and banner to the front of the card as shown, and the remaining two butterflies to the bottom left and top right corners of the inside message panel using liquid adhesive.
Your card is now complete - sit back and admire your handiwork!
