Get Well Pajama Card |
I made up this Pajama get well card and have to give Susan Campfield credit for the inspiration. Her design can be found on her blog suecampfield.com. Of course I had to put my own stamp on the card so it's a little different.

I used the DSP from Needle Point Nook for the blue robes and Twinkle Twinkle for the Green robe. I think they have that Pajama look about them.
Each card was cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and folded inwards at 2 1/8 to meet in the middle.
The sleeves are measured down by 2" and cut inwards at 3/4". I trimmed the sleeves to make them angled a bit.
It's a little tricky but leaving the sleeve facing outward, I folded the remainder of the card inwards and creased using the bone folder. This gives you an inside fold.
To form the collar, I used a ruler to line up the bottom of the sleeves then folded center outward then creased gently as I did not want it to fall flat
I added whisper white card stock to the inside, cut at 2 1/2" by 5 1/4" This should be glued underneath the folds. I stamped "Missing you" from the Home to Roost stamp set and made sure it lines up between the collar than stamped "Hope you feel better really soon" from the ??? stamp set inside the robe. For whatever reason I cannot find this stamp again. I know it will show up when I least expect it to.
The slippers puppy faces were stamped with Bella and Friends in Grey Granite. I then fussy cut out the puppy head and coloured them with my blender pens I really like how the green shows up the puppy face but am lacking the proper colour to make the blue slippers stand out. I think I might add some blue fluff balls on top instead...fuzzy slippers make for a great alternative.
The final step is to add the ribbon. I did glue the ribbon to the back on the card so when it's opened it doesn't fall off. It also helps to keep it in place when you are trying to tie a bow.
the blue ribbon was from the sale-a-bration ribbon combo and the green was left over from the paper pumpkin kit (Jan 2019 I think)
