Dry Season Dreaming |
I
'm eagerly awaiting our Dry Season which brings with it the most gorgeous array of Dragonflies.
They love to skim down low over our swimming pool and pick up the water.
One variety has the most gorgeous reddish/orange colour which is quite vibrant in the sunlight. I can't wait to see these again. I could watch them for hours!

Cut a piece of Window Sheet to measure 14.8cm wide x 21cm long.
Using the Floral Stamp from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set, stamp images randomly over the sheet using StazOn White Ink.
Once this is all dry, score and fold the piece in half to measure 14.8cm wide x 10.5cm long.
Cut 4 pieces of Shimmery White Cardstock to measure 12cm wide x 8cm long.
Round one corner on each piece (the same corner) using the Project Life Corner Punch
Using a Spritzer, with Smoky Slate colour, lightly spritz the background of ONE of the pieces of Shimmery White.
The other 3 pieces are left blank.
Lightly spray the background with water and lightly sponge Crumb Cake and Soft Sky Inks onto the background piece.
Lightly spritz this piece again with Smoky Slate Spritzer. This helps to blend it all!
Cut an extra piece of Shimmery White Cardstock at least 7cm square.
Using the Smoky Slate, Chocolate Chip, Real Red and Watermelon Wonder Markers, colour in the Dragonfly Stamp and stamp onto piece of Shimmery White cardstock.
Stamp off the Splatter design image onto your Grid Paper using Crumb Cake Ink, before stamping again onto your background piece.
This mutes the effect!
Cut out your Dragonfly (yes, by hand!).
Before gluing anything into place......
arrange your Dragonfly and sequins onto your background. Once you are happy with their positions adhere the Dragonfly with Stampin' Dimensionals and the sequins with Fine Tip Glue Pen.
Then using Fast Fuse Adhesive you can adhere the your decorated piece to the front of the card, positioning it to the lower left hand corner.
You then add a piece of Shimmery White to the inside back of this piece hiding any adhesives used. It's so easy to line the pieces up.
Do the same for the back of the card where you would write your personal message.
Done!
