Design A Treat Present For You Cards |
F un birthday cards using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, or Calypso Coral Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Blushing Bride, So Saffron, or Petal Pink Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 3-1/4" from Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, or Calypso Coral Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3" of small Blushing Bride, So Saffron, or Calypso Coral plaid design from Gingham Cottage 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Blushing Bride, So Saffron, or Petal Pink Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 1-1/2" from Blushing Bride, So Saffron, or Petal Pink Cardstock
- 1" x 1-1/2" from Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, or Calypso Coral Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Design A Treat Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the grouping of lines in squares image or the grouping of various sized dots image from the Design A Treat Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Flirty Flamingo, Daffordil Delight, or Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Stamp it across the center of the vertical 4" x 5-1/4" Blushing Bride, So Saffron, or Petal Pink rectangle so there is about 3/8" of unstamped cardstock along the top edge and about 1" of unstamped cardstock along the bottom edge. Let the images go off the left and right edges. Change the orientation of the stamp a bit each time. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. If you are making multiple cards in different colors, be sure to clean the stamp between colors using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy.
Adhere the piece of Gingham Cottage Designer Paper to the center of the 2-3/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, or Calypso Coral cardstock.
Adhere the matted designer paper rectangle to the stamped 4" x 5-1/4" vertical rectangle so the left edge hangs over the edge of the large rectangle a bit and the top edge is about 7/8" from the top.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess cardstock and designer paper along the left edge of the big rectangle.
Adhere the stamped Blushing Bride, So Saffron, or Petal Pink rectangle with matted designer paper rectangle attached to the front of the Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, or Calypso Coral card.
Mount the grouping of lines in squares image or the grouping of various sized dots image from the Design A Treat Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Flirty Flamingo, Daffordil Delight, or Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Stamp it all over the 1-1/2" x 2" Blushing Bride, So Saffron, or Petal Pink rectangle. Let the images go off the edges. If you are making multiple cards in different colors, be sure to clean the stamp between colors using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy.
Pick out the box die from the Design A Treat Box Dies. Put it on top of the stamped 1-1/2" x 2" Blushing Bride, So Saffron, or Petal Pink rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so you'll cut out one of the sides of the box with the side flaps just below the half moon flap. Run through the machine.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off the flaps and any other excess cardstock by following the score lines.
Cut an 8" piece of the White 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Fold the ribbon in half. Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the folded ribbon to the back of the stamped rectangle cut out at a slight angle so the loop sticks out on the left side and the loose ends stick out on the right side. Trim the loose ends into sharp angles.
Add more Tear & Tape Adhesive to the back of the rectangle. Remove the protective backings and adhere the rectangle to the front of the card at a slight angle so it covers the lower right corner of the matted designer paper and the loop of ribbon sticks out to the left side.
Pick out one of the bow top dies from the Design A Treat Box Dies. Put it on top of the 1" x 1-1/2" strip of Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, or Calypso Coral cardstock on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the bow cut out to the top of the present rectangle cut out.
Mount the label outline image from the Design A Treat Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, or Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining Blushing Bride, So Saffron, or Petal Pink rectangle. If you are making multiple cards in different colors, be sure to clean the stamp between colors using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy.
Mount the "for you" sentiment from the Design A Treat Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, or Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of stamped label image on the Blushing Bride, So Saffron, or Petal Pink rectangle. If you are making multiple cards in different colors, be sure to clean the stamp between colors using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy.
Pick out one of the matching label dies from the Design A Treat Box Dies. Put it on top of the stamped label on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the die is centered over the center of the stamped label. Run through the machine.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card in the upper left corner of the matted designer paper rectangle.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 large and 2 small white, gold, or Sweet Sorbet sequins from a sheet of Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front as shown.
