Deck The Halls Double Z Fun Fold |
|
T his card is so much fun to make and will have the recipient wondering how did they do this??? I really like the gold highlights in thetree DSP. This card is simply gorgeous.
Cut card base from Old Olive cardstock at 11X4 1/4. Then score at 2 3/4 amd 5 1/2/
Next Cut Old Olive cardstock at 3 1/2" and X 9", and score at 3" and 6".
Cut real red cardstock 5 1/4" X 4". Then cut real red cardstock (2) 4" X 2 1/2". Then cut real red cardstock (3) 3 1/4" X 2 3/4".
Cut the tree & gold foil DSP 5" X 3 3/4". Then cut tree & gold foil DSP (2) 3 3/4" X 2 1/4".
Cut whisper white cardstock (2) 2 1/2" X 3".
Cut white and gold star DSP 2 1/2" X 3".
Stamp large tree twice using Old Olive ink, then cut both trees out with Dies.
Stamp "Deck the Halls" with Real Red ink on the bottom of one of the Whisper White pieces of cardstock.
Stamp "wonderful Christmas" Sentiment at the top third of the other whisper white cardstock using real red ink. Then using bumblebee ink, stamp stars around the sentiment.
Now it's time to assemble!!! Fold the larger Old Olive base in a Z shape,Start by placing the largest section on the table in front of you. Next, fold at the score line from left to right. Then fold at the next score line back to the left. Card should look like a Z
Now take your smaller Old Olive and fold the same way as step 10. Burnish all folds with your bone folder.
Take largest real red and adhere to the largest panel on your main card base. Next take the 2 real red that are 4" X 2 1/2" and adhere them to the 2 remaining panels on the card base. Now take remaining 3 real red and adhere to your 2nd old olive Z fold.
Now take the large piece of pine tree and gold foil DSP, and adhere to main card base on the large panel to the right. Now take the 2 smaller pieces of the pine tree and gold paper and adhere to the 2 panels on the left.
Take the gold star DSP and adhere to the middle panel of the smaller Z fold. Take the Wonderful Christmas sentiment and adhere to the right panel. Now adhere Deck the Halls to the left/front panel.
Now it's time to adhere the small Z fold onto the large panel of the main card base. If you position the Wonderful Christmas panel onto the large panel by leaving a 1/2" space between the right side of the small old olive and the right edge of the pine tree gold foil large panel your Z's will fold together. I recommend liquid glue so you can give yourself a little wiggle room to center small Z between top & bottom of large panel.
Now, leaving the large card base open, fold the small base down. Now fold the card base down and tuck the far left panel under the Deck The Halls panel. Add a little liquid glue to about an inch of the left back side of the Deck The Halls panel that will adhere to the main card base.
Using stampin' dimensionals adhere the 2 trees above the Deck The Halls Sentiment offsetting the left one just a bit. Add gold stars to the tops of trees. Finally, I added a small holly berry sticker on the bottom right corner of the Wonderful Christmas sentiment and then placed red rhinestone basic jewels on the holly berries.
Ta Dah!!!! You just finished the double Z fun fold, congratulations!!!!!
