Cottage Wreaths On Plaid |
P retty thank you cards using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pumpkin Pie, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, So Saffron, or Mint Macaron Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of a coordinating color plaid design from Gingham Cottage 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1/4" x 5-1/4" from Garden Green or Mint Macaron Cardstock
- 3" square from Mint Macaron Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Pumpkin Pie, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, So Saffron, or Mint Macaron Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Pumpkin Pie, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, So Saffron, or Mint Macaron Cardstock
Adhere the rectangle of Gingham Cottage Designer Paper to the front of the Pumpkin Pie, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, So Saffron, or Mint Macaron.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide one short edge of the thin Garden Green or Mint Macaron strip into the side of the punch with the inward notch and get it centered so you'll punch off about 1/4". Punch. Repeat with the other side.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the punched strip of Garden Green or Mint Macaron Cardstock to the front of the horizontal card so it is centered side to side and is about 1-5/8" from the top edge.
As you are ready to stamp using the Cottage Wreaths Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the stick wreath image from the Cottage Wreaths Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 3" Mint Macaron square.
Mount the full leaf wreath image from the Cottage Wreaths Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 3" Mint Macaron square over the top of the stamped stick wreath image. Don't worry about lining things up. Re-ink the stamp with the Garden Green Ink Pad and stamp it again over the top of the previously stamped wreaths slightly rotated. Don't worry about lining things up..
Pick out the matching wreath die from the Country Wreaths Dies. Put it on top of the stamped wreath on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Rotate the die around until is is mostly centered over the stamped image. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the wreath cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the thin strip of Garden Green or Mint Macaron cardstock.
Mount the "grateful" sentiment from the Cottage Wreaths Set on Block G. Ink it up with the coordinating color of ink pad as your card base (Pumpkin Pie, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, or So Saffron, except for the Mint Macaron card, then use the Garden Green Ink Pad). Stamp it in the center of the small strip of Pumpkin Pie, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, So Saffron, or Mint Macaron. If you are making multiple cards in different colors, remember to clean the stamp between colors using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy.
Pick out the small banner die from the Country Wreaths Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment banner cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the opening in the wreath (it should completely cover the bit of the thin cardstock strip showing through the opening in the wreath).
Mount the bow image from the Cottage Wreaths Set on Block B. Ink it up with the coordinating color of ink pad as your card base (Pumpkin Pie, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, or So Saffron, except for the Mint Macaron card, then use the Garden Green Ink Pad). Stamp it in the center of the small square of Pumpkin Pie, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, So Saffron, or Mint Macaron. If you are making multiple cards in different colors, remember to clean the stamp between colors using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy.
Pick out the matching, open bow die from the Country Wreaths Dies. Put it on top of the stamped bow on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the bow cut out to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown at the bottom right side of the wreath.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 large and 2 small Very Vanilla or white matted dots from a sheet of Classic Matte Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown. Make sure one large dot is in the center of the bow.
