- 3/4" x 1" from Highland Heather Cardstock
Pick out the slightly rounded square speech bubble with some hash marks along the edges and the point sticking off to the right die from the Conversation Bubbles Dies. Put it on top of the Window Sheets square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is in the center of the square. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed. Leave the die out.
Note: You are using the Window Sheet with the shape cut out of the center as a stencil on this project. Keep the solid speech bubble cut and the hatch marked outline speech bubble cut out for use on another project if you wish.
Place the Window Sheet speech bubble stencil on top of the vertical 2-3/4" x 5-1/2" white rectangle on top of some Grid Paper so the speech bubble is slightly tilted with the point sticking off to the right and the upper left corner of the stencil opening going off the upper left edge of the cardstock a bit. Use a small piece of washi tape or a Post-It Note to hold the stencil in place.
Rub a Blending Brush across the open Fresh Freesia Ink Pad to get it inky. Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush across the opening in the stencil. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed. Try not to get any ink outside the edge of the square stencil.
Carefully move the stencil down a bit so the right edge of the open speech bubble is near the right edge of the cardstock, the point is still sticking off to the right, and the bubble is mostly straight and the top is about 3/8" below the bottom point of the previously stenciled speech bubble. Use the washi tape or Post-It Note again to hold the stencil in place.
Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush across the opening in the stencil. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed. Try not to get any ink outside the edge of the square stencil.
Carefully remove the stencil. Use a wet wipe, tissue, or paper towel to rub off any excess ink on the stencil.
Flip the stencil over.
Place the stencil on the cardstock so the speech bubble is slightly tilted with the point sticking off to the left and the upper left corner of the stencil opening going off the bottom left edge of the cardstock a bit and the upper right corner of the stencil opening overlapping the lower left side of the last stenciled speech bubble a bit. Use a small piece of washi tape or a Post-It Note to hold the stencil in place.
Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush across the opening in the stencil. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed. Try not to get any ink outside the edge of the square stencil.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Tip: Clean the stencil by running it under water until no more color is coming off. Allow to dry. Keep it with the Conversation Bubbles Set so you have it to use on future projects.
Take the cap off the brush tip end of the Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends. Hold the end of the Blends marker horizontally over the stenciled cardstock about 1" above the cardstock. Sharply tap the Bone Folder onto the Blends marker to make little splatters of color appear on your cardstock. Move the Blends marker around and tap it each time until you have the splatter coverage you want.
Tip: Be sure to clear your work area before splattering so you don't get splatters of ink where you don't want them.
Mount the "sweet" sentiment from the Conversation Bubbles Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the top stenciled speech bubble as shown.
Adhere the stamped, stenciled, and splattered white cardstock to the center of the 2-7/8" x 5-1/2" Fresh Freesia rectangle. The top and bottom edges will be even.
Cut a 3" and a 3-1/2" piece of the White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Lay both pieces of ribbon on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Use the brush tip of the Dark Pale Papaya Stampin' Blends to color both pieces of ribbon. Allow to dry for a few minutes.
Lay the longer piece of colored ribbon across the bottom of the matted white rectangle so it is about 1/2" from the bottom edge. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ends of the ribbon in place with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Fresh Freesia rectangle. Adhere it to the center of the Dandy Designs Designer Paper rectangle. The top and bottom edges will be even.
Adhere the designer paper rectangle to the front of the Fresh Freesia card in the center. The top and bottom edges will be even.
Mount the large open speech bubble image from the Conversation Bubbles Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2" x 2-1/4" Fresh Freesia rectangle.
Mount the "luv ya" sentiment from the Conversation Bubbles Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the open speech bubble stamped on the Fresh Freesia rectangle at a slight angle.
Put the slightly rounded square speech bubble with some hash marks along the edges and the point sticking off to the right die on top of the stamped sentiment speech bubble on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the speech bubble is centered in the die. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed. Keep both pieces.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the solid "luv ya" speech bubble cut out to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so it overlaps the two bottom stenciled speech bubbles a bit.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the outline hash marked speech bubble to the front of the card so it frames the stenciled "sweet" speech bubble near the top of the card as shown.
Mount the small "hello" speech bubble image from the Conversation Bubbles Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pale Papaya Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1-1/2" white square.
Pick out the slightly rounded square speech bubble with some bubble marks along the edges and the point sticking off to the right die from the Conversation Bubbles Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the opening of the speech bubble. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed. Keep both pieces.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the "hello" speech bubble cut out to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so it overlaps the right side of the stenciled, outlined "sweet" speech bubble a bit.
Place the outline bubble marked speech bubble cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Use the Pale Papaya Stampin' Blends to color the outline in an ombre effect.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the ombre colored outline bubble marked speech bubble to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so it overlaps the top of the middle stenciled speech bubble a bit.
Mount the set of three little hearts in a solid speech bubble image from the Conversation Bubbles Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pale Papaya Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1-1/4" x 1-1/2" white rectangle.
Pick out the matching speech bubble die from the Conversation Bubbles Dies. Put it on top of the stamped rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the speech bubble is centered in the opening of the die. Run through the machine.
Place the stamped speech bubble on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the fine tip of the Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends to color in the small hearts.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored speech bubble cut out to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so the right side overlaps the left edge of the center stenciled speech bubble a bit.
Pick out both sets of two little hearts dies from the Conversation Bubbles Dies. Put them on top of the tiny Highland Heather and Pale Papaya rectangles on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies and cardstock do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the two small Highland Heather heart cut outs to the front of the card as shown in the center of the bottom stenciled speech bubble.
Place one of the small Pale Papaya heart cut outs on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Use the Pale Papaya Stampin' Blends to color the heart in an ombre effect.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the ombre colored Pale Papaya small heart cut out to the front of the card as shown so it is centered inside the small ombre colored Pale Papaya speech bubble cut out.
Use the brush tip of the Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends to color three of the pearls on the sheet of Heart Pearls. Allow to dry for a moment.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up the three colored heart pearls from the sheet making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the front of the card as shown.
Slide one end of the shorter, colored ribbon piece under the ribbon on the card front on the right side. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
