Congratulations and Happy Birthday Fine Art Floral Suite |
|
T his card was made using the Fine Art Floral Suite. I just love how the color come together. The Flirty Flamingo and the Poppy Parade just pop against the Basic Gray.
|
Cut a piece of Basic Gray cardstock which is 8-1/2" x11" into 2 pieces which are 5-1/2" x8-1/2" now you can score one at 4-1/4" this will give you your base.
Now cut a piece of card stock that is 4"x5-1/4" this will give you a 1/8" border on your card base. Before you adhere this down to the card base. Stamp the floral images from the Art Gallery Stamp set. It is a two step stamp set so you will stamp the first image in Smokey Slate ink and then you will stamp the highlighted or second step image in Basic Gray ink.
This is what your image should look like once you have the two step image stamped in Smokey Slate and in the Basic Gray ink. Now adhere it to your card base using your favorite adhesive.
Now cut a piece of Flirty Flamingo put at 5-1/4"x 2" then edge it using the scalloped edge die from the Stitched Heart Dies, Once you have that completed then add a piece of basic white cardstock cut at 5-1/4" x 1-3/4". Be sure that you stamp your sentiment before you add the flicked texture background. To add the flicked background you will flick the basic white cardstock with the champagne shimmer paint and the Flirty Flamingo ink. Just mix the two of them together and you will get a nice color with some shimmer. Or you can do them separately and get another very cool background.
Once you have the basic white and Flirty Flamingo layer adhered down then you can take your Fine Art Ribbon with Tear and Tape it will help keep it in place.
To stamped the floral images you will stamp Flirty Flamingo that you stamped off first to give it a lighter look and then stamp Poppy Parade in top of that. You then stamp the leaves in Old Olive. You can also add some gold leaving from the Peaceful Moments Dies. And then cut the larger leaf out of Flirty Flamingo.
You can add the gold enamel dots as another embellishment to the card front.
Don't forget to decorate your inside, you will find that it just completes the card so beautifully. Add some images to the envelope also or add a piece of your favorite designer series to the envelope flap.
Hope you enjoy making this card as much as I did, Be sure to stop back often for more inspiration and ideas. Stamping with Charity
