Comfort & Hope Wheat Wall
S imple, easy card for letting someone know you care using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Gray Granite Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" of zigzag pattern of gray bricks design from In Good Taste Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 5-1/4" of dark wood grain design from In Good Taste Designer Series Paper
Place the Very Vanilla rectangle horizontally on top of some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the large strip of In Good Taste Designer Paper with the zigzag bricks pattern on top of the vanilla rectangle so it is about 1/2" from the bottom edge.
Mount the "Comfort and Hope" sentiment from the Comfort & Hope Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Gray Granite Ink Pad. Stamp it on the vanilla rectangle just above the strip of designer paper so the left edge of the sentiment is about 1/4" from the left side of the vanilla rectangle.
Remove the piece of designer paper from the vanilla rectangle.
Mount the wheat stalks image from the Comfort & Hope Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it 4 times to the right of the sentiment on the vanilla rectangle so the stalks are mostly pointing up and the bottoms of the stems will be hidden later by the designer paper strip. Stamp a couple of times with full strength ink and a couple of times without re-inking the stamp. Alter the position and angle of the stamp a little each time.
Mount the partial chevron pattern image from the Comfort & Hope Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Gray Granite Ink Pad. Stamp it multiple times on the right and bottom edges of the vanilla rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let the images overlap a bit and go off the edges of the vanilla cardstock a bit.
Adhere the thin strip of woodgrain pattern In Good Taste Designer Paper to the bottom of the larger zigzag bricks pattern In Good Taste Designer Paper strip so only about 1/8" of the woodgrain strip shows.
Adhere the layered strips of designer paper to the stamped vanilla rectangle so they are just under the stamped sentiment and about 1/4" of vanilla shows along the bottom edge.
Cut a 6" piece of Gray Granite 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon.
Pick out a ribbon slide from the Antiqued Corners & Slides.
Feed the ribbon through the ribbon slide so the side of the slide that you want facing up is up. Position the slide near the right side of the ribbon.
Lay the ribbon with slide attached across the cardstock/designer paper so the ribbon hides the seam between the cardstock and the top of the designer paper. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the vanilla rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Gray Granite card.
