Cut cardstock: whisper white cards base, whisper white 2nd layer ½" smaller than card front & 2"x4" whisper white for tree; old olive 1st layer ¼" smaller than card front.
Stamp off Work of Art largest ink swash (not sure if that is what you call it) for 3 generations. In other words...
1) ink stamp, stamp off on scrap paper, then stamp 1st impression.
2) ink stamp, stamp off 2 times on scrap paper then stamp 2nd impression.
3) ink stamp, stamp off 3 times on scrap paper then stamp 3rd impression.
Stamp sentiment in old olive & stamp inside of card (include additional small image).
On 2"x4" whisper white stamp tree. I used a technique that I don't have a clue what it is called but it looks something like this...Ink up your stamp with old olive, take chocolate chip stampin' write marker and ink the tree trunk & limbs. Then stamp... looks cool huh?
Take your paper snips and fussy cut the beautiful tree you just stamped. Apply stampin' dimensionals and adhere to center of card.
Using confetti star punch & gold glimmer paper, punch out largest of the stars (bonus: you get extra little stars you could use on the tree if you wish). Adhere glue dot and put on the tippy top of the tree.
Adhere whisper white layer to old olive layer. Wrap three times with linen thread and either tie a knot or a bow. Then add stampin' dimensionals to your old olive layer and adhere to card base.
Open card, write heartfelt note, place in envelope, address, don't forget your postage and drop off at your nearest postal location. Well I guess you should wait a few more months... but now you have an awesome card you can replicate with ease and crank those puppies out early this year instead of waiting until the 11th hour like I do!
