Butterfly Brilliance Black & White Butterfly |
P retty congratulations card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Basic White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 4" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
Insert the black rectangle into the Bark 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed black rectangle to the front of the Basic White Thick card.
Mount the Butterfly Brilliance stamp on Block F. Use the brush tip of the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to color in the large swallowtail butterfly in the center of the stamp. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the butterfly in the center of the 4" white square.
Pick out the smooth circle die that cuts out a 3" circle from the Layering Circles Dies. Put it on top of the stamped butterfly on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the butterfly is centered in the circle. You will cut off the tips of the wings a bit. Run through the machine.
Cut a 10" piece of the Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Adhere the ribbon to the back of the butterfly circle cut out so it forms loops on the lower left and upper right sides as shown. Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold the ribbon in place.
Add more Tear & Tape Adhesive as needed to the back of the butterfly circle cut out. Remove the protective backings and adhere the butterfly circle cut out with ribbon attached to the front of the card on the left side as shown.
Mount the large Many Messages stamp on Block F. Ink up the ONLY the word "Hooray!" near the top of the stamp using the side of the brush tip of the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the sentiment in the center of the horizontal white rectangle.
Put the Messages Die on top of the stamped sentiment rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the scalloped edge label near the center right side of the die is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the lower right side of the butterfly circle cut out a tiny bit.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large and 2 small white dots from the sheet of Classic Matte Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them in a rough triangle as shown just over the sentiment label cut out on the front of the card.
