Brightly Gleaming bauble |
|
C ased from The Paper Pixie who had cased Samantha Clayton of Mixed Up Craft
Pretty Peacock Cardstock 10 1/2" x 6 1/4"
17 1" squares of Designer Series Paper (DSP)
10" ribbon
Put your cardstock on your scoreboard
Score the long side at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 3 3/4", 5", 6 1/4", 7 1/2", 8 3/4" and 10"
Score the short side at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 3 3/4" and 5"
On each of the squares containing a triangle, measure along to 5/8 inches and make a mark.
Using a ruler and your scoring tool, join the mark to the scorelines at the corners making sure the bottom ones are the opposite way round as shown in the diagram.
Fold and burnish all your straight scorelines.
Now cut off the squares, shown on the diagram by X.
Now attach your DSP to the squares shown on the diagram.
Put glue along the narrow tab and fold it to seal.
We are now going to shut the bottom of our bauble up leaving the square with the DSP until last.
Start by gluing opposite sides, so they cover each other exactly. You will need to pinch the diagonal scorelines to do this.
Punch a hole in each of the top flaps using an 1/8" punch.
You can fill your bauble with treats if you are going to use it as a gift.
Fold your ribbon in half and tie a knot .
Now thread the ribbon through the holes, making sure you leave the front panel until last.
If you are not filling it, you could glue the panels shut as you go.
