Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Lovely Lipstick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3" x 4" of pale dots on Pineapple Punch background from 2018-2020 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Pineapple Punch Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- scrap of Whisper White Cardstock at least 1-1/4" square
Mount the rose and leaves image from the Better Together Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the top half of the large white rectangle and onto the small scrap of white cardstock. Let the images go off the edges of the large rectangle sometimes and rotate the stamp every so often so the leaves are pointing different directions. Allow the ink to dry for a few minutes.
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the cardstock that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Place the stamped white rectangle and the stamped white scrap on the work paper and start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Use the light colors first and add highlights with the darker colors. If needed to blend the colors, go over things again with the lighter colors. Work on one flower at a time so the inks will be wet and will blend easier.
Use the Light Lovely Lipstick Marker on the bottom petals of the roses and lightly in the centers.
Use the Pineapple Punch Marker on the rest of the rose and to blend the red in so it becomes more peach/orange.
Use the Light and Dark Old Olive Markers on the leaves.
Use the Color Lifter as needed to remove unwanted color.
Adhere the piece of 2018-2020 In Color Designer Paper to the bottom of the colored white rectangle.
Use Paper Snips to carefully cut out by hand the colored rose on the scrap of white cardstock.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the cut out rose in the lower right corner of the designer paper.
Pick out the scalloped oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out a 3" long scalloped oval. Place the Pineapple Punch rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped oval framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the scalloped oval so it is centered over the seam between the rose stamped white layer and the designer paper.
Cut a 5" piece of Lovely Lipstick 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the layers so the ribbon covers the seam between the stamped white cardstock and the designer paper and runs across the center of the scalloped oval. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the cardstock. Adhere it to the front of the Lovely Lipstick card.
Mount the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Better Together Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Lovely Lipstick Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining white rectangle.
Pick out the oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out a 2-1/2" long oval. Place the stamped sentiment oval image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the oval framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use the Old Olive Dark Stampin' Blends to outline the oval.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment oval to the center of the scalloped oval over the top of the ribbon.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Lovely Lipstick 1/8' Grosgrain Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front on the left side of the sentiment oval. Tie it in place using a half knot. Trim the ends.
