Best Dad Card with Red Car |

A classic card for a car loving 'Best Dad' using products from the Classic Garage Suite from the Spring & Summer 2019 Catalogue.

Take a piece of Tranquil Tide Cardstock measuring 8"x6" (20.4cm x 15.2cm). Butt the long edge to the top edge of your Stampin' Trimmer or Scoreboard and score at 4" (10.2cm). Using your Bone Folder, fold and burnish the score line to form your card base.
Using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, stamp the 'Best Dad' and car onto a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock. colour the car using Stampin' Write Markers in Poppy Parade, Smoky Slate and Balmy Blue as shown on the photo.
Using the Garage Gears Thinlits Dies, cut out the stamped images as well as the 'badge surround' using a scrap of Champagne Foil.
Take a piece of the 'dials' paper from the Classic Garage 6"x6" Designer Series Paper measuring 4 1/2" x 3 13/16" (make sure the width is the widest and height the shortest with directional papers). Attach this to the front of your card base leaving a small, even border around the top, bottom and left hand sides as shown in the photo.
Take a strip of Crushed Curry Cardstock measuring 4" x 1/2". Attach a length of Black/Silver Striped Metallic Ribbon approx 5" long to the Cardstock strip using Glue Dots (3 on the front and one each on the ends which are wrapped around the ends and attached to the back. Attach this strip to the right hand side of the DSP panel as shown, using your choice of adhesive.
Using Mini Stampin Dimensionals, attach the 'Best Dad' sentiment to the top left corner of the card, then attach the badge surround die cut as shown to form a grill badge.
Using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, attach the car die cut to the bottom right of the card over the ribbon strip as shown.
Take a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 5 13/16" x 3 13/16". Using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, stamp the 'Tool Box' image from the Geared Up Garage Stamp Set in the bottom right hand corner of the Cardstock.
Stamp the same image onto a Sticky Note, making sure that the image covers the sticky portion. Cut this image out slightly inside the outer lines to form a mask.
Attach the mask over the image stamped on the Cardstock panel. Using the Memento ink and the 'oil spill' stamp, stamp over the top of the mask as shown.
Colour the Tool Box as shown using Stampin' Write Markers in Poppy Parade, Smoky Slate, and Crushed Curry.
Attach the Whisper White panel to the inside of your card base.
Your card is now finished - sit back and admire your creation
