Banner Year Plaid Pumpkin Tag Thanks |
H alloween inspired thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
- square tag cut from black, orange, purple, and yellow plaid design from Plaid Tidings 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, if you don't already have a tag leftover from another project you will need a piece of the designer paper that is 2" square
- 1-1/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1/2" x 3" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Banner Year Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the bat image from the Banner Year Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it three times in the upper left corner of the Pumpkin Pie rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Adjust the angle of the stamp a little each time.
Adhere the stamped Pumpkin Pie rectangle to the center of the Basic Black rectangle and then to the front of the Pumpkin Pie card.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the Crushed Curry strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notch) as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount the "Happy Thanksgiving" sentiment from the Banner Year Set on Block G. Tear off a small piece (about 1") of Scotch (cello) tape. Carefully place the tape over the end of the sentiment at a slight angle so it covers the letters "giving" at the end of the sentiment. Carefully press the taped stamp to the open Memento Pad so you ink up only the word "Thanks." You will get ink on the Scotch tape. REMOVE the tape from the stamp and throw it away. Stamp the sentiment on the punched Crushed Curry strip so the word is near the notched end with the notch on the right side.
Adhere the stamped sentiment banner to the front of the card so it is about 1" from the bottom and the notched end is about 3/4" from the right side.
If you don't already have a tag leftover from another project, you will need to cut out a tag. Pick out the set of three connected tags die from the Peek-A-Hoot Dies. Put it on top of the designer paper square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so that you will cut out the small square tag. Run through the machine.
Cut a 5" piece of the black and white Baker's Twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack.
Fold the twine in half. Poke the folded end through the hole in the top of the tag and pull the folded end out a bit. Thread the open ends through the folded end loop and pull tight. Trim the ends.
Adhere the tag with twine attached to the front of the card so it is centered across the end of the sentiment banner.
Mount the pumpkin body image from the Banner Year Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Mount the jack o'lantern face image from the Banner Year Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the previously stamped pumpkin body.
Mount the pumpkin stem and leaf image from the Banner Year Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it on top of the previously stamped pumpkin body.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the jack o'lantern with stem by hand.
Use mini dimensionals from the Black Stampin' Dimensionals Combo Pack to adhere the jack o'lantern cut out to the front of the card so it is centered in the tag.
