Balloon Adventures Ascending Balloons |
O ne of the cards I created for the March RemARKably Creative Blog Tour - Party Animal Suite using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut card stock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Crushed Curry Card Stock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Card Stock
- 1/2" x 3-5/8" from Crushed Curry Card Stock
- 1" x 3-3/4" from Whisper White Card Stock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" from Whisper White Card Stock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" from Silver Foil Sheets
- scrap of Tangerine Tango Card Stock at least 1" square
Mount the solid balloon image on Block C. Ink it up with the Pacific Point Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower left corner of the large white rectangle so it goes off the edges. Do not remove the stamp from the block.
Ink up the solid balloon image again using the Pacific Point Ink Pad. Stamp onto scratch paper to remove some of the ink. Then, without re-inking, stamp the image in the upper right corner of the large white rectangle so it is going off the right edge. Clean the stamp with the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but do not remove it from the block.
Ink up the solid balloon image again using the Emerald Envy Ink Pad. Stamp onto scratch paper to remove some of the ink. Without re-inking, stamp it again on the large white rectangle so it overlaps the blue balloon in the lower left corner just a bit and is slightly higher. Clean the stamp, but leave it on the block.
Ink up the solid balloon image again using the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the large white rectangle so it goes off the top edge a bit and it slightly overlaps the left side of the light blue balloon. Clean the stamp, but do not remove it from the block.
Ink up the solid balloon image again using the Tangerine Tango Ink Pad. Stamp on scratch paper to remove some of the ink. Stamp the balloon on the piece of 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" white card stock. Clean the stamp and put it away.
Mount the striped balloon image on Block C. Ink it up with the Emerald Envy Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the light green balloon on the large white rectangle.
Mount the dotted balloon image on Block C. Ink it up with the Pacific Point Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the light blue balloon stamped on the large white rectangle.
Mount the falling confetti image on Block B. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly around the stamped balloons on the large white rectangle. Be sure to re-ink the stamp each time. It's okay for the confetti to overlap the balloons.
Adhere the skinny strip of Crushed Curry Card Stock to the stamped large white rectangle so the right edge is even with the right edge of the white layer and it is about 1-3/4" from the bottom edge.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of Emerald Envy 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon. Lay the ribbon across the center of the Crushed Curry strip so the left edge sticks out just a bit over the left edge of the Crushed Curry strip. Flip the rectangle over and fold the end of the ribbon over. Adhere it in place with a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the end.
Flip the rectangle back over and put a small amount of SNAIL under the loose end of the ribbon near the center of the Crushed Curry strip. Stick the ribbon down to it.
Slide one end of the 1" x 3-3/4" strip of Whisper White Card Stock into the opened Banner Triple Punch as far as it will go. Punch. Slide the other end in and punch again.
Mount the "It's your birthday" sentiment on Block C. Ink it up with the Pacific Point Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched banner of white card stock.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment banner to the card front so it centered over the Crushed Curry/ribbon strip.
Adhere the card front to the front of the Crushed Curry card.
Open the Balloon Bouquet Punch and slide the stamped orange balloon on the small piece of white card stock into the punch. Line it up so the larger balloon punch space will punch out the balloon. Punch.
Pick out the striped balloon thinlit from the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits Dies. Place the piece of Silver Foil Sheets on top of the Precision Base Plate on top of your Big Shot Platform. Place the striped balloon thinlit on top of the foil sheet. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. For best results, you might want to run it through the Big Shot at least twice. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces.
To easily adhere the striped silver foil balloon cutout to the stamped, punched out orange balloon, place the striped balloon cutout upside down on one side of a Silicone Craft Sheet. Cut a Stamping Sponge into quarters and clamp the triangle edge of one quarter in a large binder clip. Squeeze a small amount of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on one corner of the Silicone Craft Sheet. Dab the sponge into the glue and then lightly onto the back of the balloon cutout. Flip the balloon cutout over and adhere it to the punched out orange balloon.
Adhere the orange and silver balloon to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. Position it to the upper right of the sentiment banner.
Pick out the small bow thinlit from the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits. Place the scrap of Tangerine Tango card stock on top of the Precision Base Plate on top of your Big Shot Platform. Place the bow thinlit on top. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. For best results, you might want to run it through the Big Shot at least twice. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces if needed.
Squish up a Mini Glue Dot and adhere it to the back of the bow cut out in the middle. Then, adhere it to the bottom of the orange and silver balloon.
Pick out one of the balloon charms from the Party Animal Embellishments.
Cut an 8" piece of Crushed Curry Baker's Twine. Thread one end of the twine through the top of the balloon charm. Tie a small bow. Trim the ends of the twine.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow and charm to the left of the banner sentiment on top of the ribbon.
