Avant Garden Presents and Candles Birthday
P layful birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut card stock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Tangerine Tango Card Stock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crushed Curry Card Stock
- 3-1/4" x 3-7/8" of multicolored presents on white background from Party Animal Designer Series Paper, cut so that the presents are upright horizontally across the paper (the 3-7/8" direction)
- 3-1/4" x 3-7/8" from Tangerine Tango Card Stock
- 1-1/4" x 4-1/4" from Pacific Point Card Stock
- 2" x 3" from Crushed Curry Card Stock
- 2" x 3" from Whisper White Thick Card Stock
- one tall, skinny present and one square present cut from scrap of multicolored presents on white background from Party Animal Designer Series Paper
Adhere the designer paper rectangle to the top of the large Crushed Curry rectangle. Leave about 1/16" of Crushed Curry Card Stock showing on the top, left, and right sides.
Open the Candle Border Punch. Slide the strip of Pacific Point Card Stock into the punch so one long edge is up against the back of the punch and the card stock is centered side to side. Punch. Slide the card stock to the left or right and line the punched out candles up over the same candles printed in silver on the base of the punch. Punch. Slide the card stock the other direction, line up the punched out candles with the silver candles printed on the base of the punch and punch again.
Carefully cut off a couple of candles on one side of the punched strip using the Stampin' Trimmer. Cut between two candles.
Cut off the other side of the punched candle strip using the Stampin' Trimmer so the strip is 3-7/8" wide.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to add adhesive to the back of the punched candle strip along the bottom and edges and SNAIL along the top and adhere the punched candle strip to the bottom of the Crushed Curry rectangle. Leave about 1/16" of Crushed Curry Card Stock showing on the sides and bottom.
Adhere the strip of Tangerine Tango across the seam between the designer paper and the punched candle strip.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of Emerald Envy 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon piece across the center of the Tangerine Tango strip. Flip the card front over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere them in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the ends.
Adhere the card front to the front of the Tangerine Tango card.
Mount the birthday sentiment from the Avant Garden Photopolymer Stamp Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tangerine Tango Ink Pad. Stamp it slightly to the left of center on the white rectangle.
Pick out the smooth oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies that cuts out a smooth oval that is 1-5/16" x 2-1/4". Place the stamped sentiment on top of Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the smooth oval framelit on top so the sentiment is to the left. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the scalloped oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies that cuts out a scalloped oval that is 1-1/2" x 2-7/16". Place the small Crushed Curry rectangle on top of Cutting Pad on the Big Shot Platform on your Big Shot. Place the scalloped oval framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the sentiment oval to the Crushed Curry scalloped oval.
Adhere the two presents cut out of the designer paper to the right side of the sentiment oval at slight angles using Fine-Tip Glue.
Adhere the sentiment ovals to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. Center the ovals over the ribbon on the right side of the card front.
Cut an 8" piece of Emerald Envy 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon. Tie a small bow. Trim the ends. Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow to the ribbon on the left side of the card front.
