Art Gallery Frosted Blue Flower |
P retty thank you card using new Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Misty Moonlight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Seaside Spray Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 2-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 3" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 2-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
Insert the Seaside Spray rectangle into the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Rub a Blending Brush across the open Misty Moonlight Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, lightly rub it over the dry embossed Seaside Spray rectangle to make the raised areas pop out a bit. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed.
Tip: You might want to put the cardstock on a piece of Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Adhere the Seaside Spray rectangle to the front of the Misty Moonlight card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Art Gallery Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large, more solid, single flower image from the Art Gallery Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Seaside Spray Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2-1/2" x 2-3/4" white rectangle.
Mount the large, less filled in, single flower image from the Art Gallery Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped light blue flower.
Pick out the matching large flower die from the Floral Gallery Dies. Put it on top of the stamped flower image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the tool.
Mount the stem with leaves image from the Art Gallery Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2-3/4" x 3" white rectangle.
Pick out the matching stem and leaves die from the Floral Gallery Dies. Put it on top of the stamped stem and leaves image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the tool.
Adhere the stem and leaves cut out to the front of the card at a slight angle so the bottom of the stem is near the center and is about 1" from the bottom.
Adhere the flower cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the top of the stem and the top point of the right leaf a bit.
Mount the short sentiment of choice from the Art Gallery Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining white strip.
Pick out the small, wavy edge, banner die from the Floral Gallery Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered top to bottom and slightly closer to the right edge of the die. Run through the tool.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment banner cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the stem just below the right leaf and sticks out to the right side.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Seaside Spray 1/4" Metallic Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at a slight angle so it overlaps the left end of the sentiment banner cut out.
Pick out a Beaded Pearls embellishment.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the Beaded Pearls embellishment to the bottom center of the flower.
Tip: If you don't have the Beaded Pearls, use three other gems or jewels in a rough triangle shape.
