ello! I hope y'all had a lovely Mom'd Day weekend! This is my very first card blog post!
This card I created last year for my mom on Mother's Day. It was also feautured in my first month of serving on our local Gettin' Crafty Family's Artisan Design Team.

I simply started with a Whisper White Card Stock panel cut to 4" x 5 1/4". On my Grid Paper I used the grass-like stamps from Abstract Impessions to stamp some thick grass in Lemon Lime Twist (retired). Next, I used the thinner grass-like stamp in Tranquil Tide (retired) layering over, giving the grass area some optical depth.
I repeat this type of process using some of the flower-like stamps in Powder Pink (retired) and Berry Burst (retired). I did the same to create the butterfly image.
The thing I love about this stamp set is that it's exactly like its name...Abstract Impressions! You can't go wrong stamping a field of flowers. They are meant to be blots and whisps of color that create a very impressionism style, much like Monet, Van Gough, and even Pollock.
I finished my card-front panel with a perfect sentiment from Strong & Beautiful Stamp Set (still available).
I used some Snail Adhesive to adhere the stamped panel to a Card Base made of Fresh Fig Card Stock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" and neatly creased with my trusty Bone Folder.
Enjoy!
