I didn't plan on purchasing this set when the catalog came out, and then did a retreat with it and fell in love. Now it has become my must have fall set. I just can't make enough projects. So I decided to feature it for my Sweet Treat this month, it seems perfect really, what better month for pumpkins. I hope you enjoy my little take on them and you enjoy also.
Project Recipe
1. Thick Basic white 8 1/2 in x 5 1/2 in folded at 4 1/4 in, is the base for this card.
2. Layer a piece of Gold Vellum measuring 4 in x 5 1/4 in on card base.
3. Next layer a piece of basic white 3 3/4 in x 5 in on top of the gold.
4. Using Expressions of Ink DSP , I layered the Rustic color DSP 1 3/4 in x 1 3/4 in in top left corner then to the right of this is a layers a dark green and gold DSP measuring 3 in x 1 3/4 in, and below the rustic color is the same dark green measuring 1 3/4 in by. 1 3/4 in .
5. This will leave you a gap in the right lower corner and you can stamp your sentiment here, I choose to use the Cajun Craze Ink and stamped on lower edge of white.
6. I stamped my pumpkins with pumpkin pie ink on the pumpkin pie die cut, but I have also enclosed a label die if you choose to use something else in your stamping if you don't have this stamp set. I then colored my pumpkins with colored pencils, but you can use any medium you choose. I used, pumpkin pie, crushed curry and cajun craze for the pumpkins, old olive for the leaves and early expresso for the stems.
7. Last I used some Gilded Gems scattered on the front as accents, use as many as you like, I am giving you a row of various sizes.
1.Thick Very Vanilla 8 1/2 in by 5 1/2 in is the card base.
2. Two different label sizes have also been cut out to be used on the front of the card, Thankful sentiment is stamped with pumpkin pie on the smaller one.
3. The larger label has been scored at the right side aprox 5/8 from edge where the points meet. This is going to fold under the DSP, so that the label acts as a door on the front of the card. Stamp the decorative pumpkin to the left side of the score mark with cajun craze ink, before securing the flap under the lower right corner of DSP.
4. Secure Blackberry Beauty DSP to card base, with this hinged stamped image. On stamped image you can secure vellum leaf to stem with glue dot.
5. Position Pumpkin Pie Diecut Pumpkin behind flap of decorative pumpkin so it is slightly higher and adhere down. (this has adhesive attached to it already). Make bow out of twine and attach to this pumpkin stem.
6. Attach cork pumpkin to even with hinged label but to left. Attach soft succulent leaf vellum with glue dot around stem.
7. Attach sentiment to top right corner with dimensionals.
