Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and foil sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pretty Peacock Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-7/8" from Soft Suede Cardstock
- 3" x 3-7/8" of Old Olive Foil from Noble Peacock Foil Sheets
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Pretty Peacock Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
Lightly spritz the Soft Suede rectangle with water and insert into the Stone 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine. Set aside to dry.
Mount the small tree image from the Power of Hope Set on Block B. Use the tip of the Old Olive Marker to ink up the leaves and grass. Use the tip of the Soft Suede Marker to ink up the trunk and branches. Hold the tip of the Pretty Peacock Marker over the leaves and tap it onto the leaves multiple times. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp in the center of one end of the white strip. Leave room to punch out the image.
Unlock the 2" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped tree image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Unlock the 2-1/4" Circle Punch. Slide the Pretty Peacock strip into the punch. Punch.
Adhere the stamped tree circle punch out to the center of the Pretty Peacock circle punch out.
Mount the "today is a day for new beginnings" or the "Good Luck" sentiment from the Power of Hope Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one end of the Old Olive strip. Leave room to punch the sentiment out.
Unlock the Classic Label Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive, to adhere the piece of Old Olive Foil Sheet to the top of the large Pretty Peacock rectangle so about 1/16" of Pretty Peacock shows on the top, left, and right edges.
Note: SNAIL Adhesive does NOT stick well to the Foil Sheets, so you'll get better adhesion if you use Tear & Tape Adhesive.
If the dry embossed Soft Suede rectangle is dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying with a Heat Tool if needed.
Adhere the dry embossed Soft Suede rectangle to the bottom of the large Pretty Peacock rectangle so it overlaps the bottom of the foil sheet a bit and there is about 1/16" of Pretty Peacock showing on the bottom, left, and right edges..
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8" Reversible Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the matted foil sheet/dry embossed rectangle so it covers the seam between the two layers. Secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add SNAIL to the back of the Pretty Peacock rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Old Olive card.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the matted tree circles to the front of the card on the left side just above the ribbon.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment punch out to the front of the card so it overlaps the matted tree circles just under the base of the tree.
Cut a 4" piece of Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8" Reversible Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card so it is centered under the matted tree circles. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 different sizes of Pretty Peacock rhinestones from a sheet of Noble Peacock Rhinestones making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the upper right corner of the card in a rough triangle.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up 2 Old Olive leaf branches and one Pretty Peacock leaf branch from the Dinoroar Enamel Shapes being sure to get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front so they appear to be hanging down from the ribbon under the knot and overlap each other a bit.
