Project Recipe
Get your paper ready: Start with a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock folded in half to make a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card. Tip: Running a bone folder along the crease will help the crease look more "professional" and neat. Cut two 5 1/4" x 4" pieces of Whisper White cardstock; one for the front face of the card and one for the inside.
Make the daisy: Stamp two daisies onto Whisper White cardstock, using Memento black ink, and punch each of them out using the Daisy Punch. Tip: As you punch the daisy, don't apply full pressure on the punch right away so you can make sure you are happy with the positioning of the paper in the punch. Once the daisies are both punched out, use the liquid glue to glue one daisy on top of the other in a way that you can see both layers of petals. Allow the glue to set for a couple of minutes before stamping the So Saffron daisy center using the "solid" center stamp. Add a large gold faceted gem.
Stamp the front face of the card: Use one of the 5 1/4" x 4" pieces of Whisper White cardstock piece. Randomly begin to stamp the polka dots, using the same stamp you used for the center of the daisy and the Blushing Bride, So Saffron, and Flirty Flamingo ink pads. Tip: Start from one corner and stamp a couple of the polka dots with one color and then switch colors for a couple more dots, working outward in a triangular pattern until you have polka dots spaced over the entire piece of cardstock. A Stampin' Shammy REALLY helps with this. Stamp "Thank you" in the upper right corner using Memento black ink pad. A Stamperatus REALLY works well for this!!
Put the card front together: Add the 6 3/4" piece of Pear Pizzazz shimmer ribbon to your stamped card face, about 1 1/2" from the bottom of the stamped piece. Use the Snail adhesive for this step so you are able to reposition the ribbon, if needed. Once you are happy with the placement of the ribbon, attach the card face to the Pear Pizzazz card. Glue down the daisy onto the shimmer ribbon so the center of the daisy is about 1 1/2" in from the edge of the card. Use the bone folder to curl the petals, if desired.
Complete the inside of the card: Use the other 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Stamp the smaller stem along the lower right side of the piece of cardstock, using Pear Pizzazz ink and then stamp the "small buds" stamp using Blushing Bride ink. Attach to the inside of the card.
