D ogs can wish each other Happy Birthday, can't they? I made these two cards with the Playful Pets designer series paper for my dog Macho's litter mates. They all have birthdays coming up in July.
Project Recipe
Cut 2 card bases 8.5" x 5.5" and score at 4.25"
Cut 2 Real Red card stock mats to 5.25" x 4.0"
Cut two strips of Playful Pets Designer Series paper 1.5" x 5.0" You will need a coordinating strip of the Playful Pets paper cut .75" x 4.25" and a panel of the In Good Taste designer series paper cut 2.25" x 5.0"
To create the labels, use the Painted Labels dies and Whisper White card stock and stamp your sentiment with Real Red ink. The dog embellishments were cut out of a piece of the Playful Pets paper.
To create the gray card with the Dachsund, you will layer the In Good Taste panel vertically on the Real Red card stock mat and layer the small strip of the Playful Pets paper vertically next to it. Adhere the mat to the card base. Layer the small strip of Real Red card stock horizontally, adding a bit of baker's twine (optional). Stamp the sentiment on the label in Real Red ink, adhere with dimensionals and add the dog image.
For the red card with the downward dog, you will have to do some stamping! You will use VersaMark ink to stamp the bowl and paw print images on the Real Red car stock mat to create a pattern. Adhere the 1.5" x 5.0" strip of Playful Pets designer series paper vertically and then attach the mat to the card base. Layer the second .75" x 4.25" strip horizontally on the red mat. Attach the label with stamped sentiment with dimensionals and add the dog image.
