Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Garden Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of light blue-green leaves and stems on slightly darker blue-green background design from Flight & Airy 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 5" square of gold grid on white background design from Nature's Sweetness 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 2-3/4" from Pecan Pie Cardstock
- 1-7/8" x 2-5/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1-1/2" x 8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
Mount the "thanks for making me smile" sentiment from the Notes Of Nature Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the horizontal blue-green leaves Flight & Airy Designer Paper about 3/8" from the top and right sides.
Pick out the circle die that cuts out a circle that is 4-5/8" diameter from the Deckled Circles Dies. Put it on top of the gold grid Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Paper square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the gold grid circle cut out to the lower left corner of the stamped designer paper so the top edge is about 3/16" from the top and the right edge is about 1-1/4" from the right edge. Work on top of the Silicone Craft Sheet to keep things from sticking to your work surface. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess circle cut out on the bottom and left edges.
Adhere the stamped designer paper with designer paper circle cut out to the front of the Garden Green card.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere it to one side of the Pecan Pie rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the easel die from the Crafting With You Dies. Put it on top of the Pecan Pie rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so you'll get the stand and a straight edge along the top that is about 1/4" wide and so the Pecan Pie (brown) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the easel cut out. Adhere it to the front of the card so it is about 1/2" from the bottom and left edges.
As you are ready to stamp using the Planted Paradise Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large, half oval pot image from the Planted Paradise Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Lost Lagoon Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal, 1-1/2" x 8" white strip leaving room to cut it out.
Mount the regular, squared off pot image from the Planted Paradise Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pecan Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it on the horizontal, 1-1/2" x 8" white strip leaving room to cut it out.
Mount the funnel pot image from the Planted Paradise Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it on the horizontal, 1-1/2" x 8" white strip leaving room to cut it out.
Mount the set of three leaves together image from the Planted Paradise Set on Block B so the smooth side is face up and is what you will stamp with. Ink it up with the Lost Lagoon Ink Pad. Stamp it on the horizontal, 1-1/2" x 8" white strip leaving room to cut it out. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy and flip it over on the block so the detailed side is face up and is what you will stamp with. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped set of three leaves so you have two-toned leaves. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy and put it away.
Mount the long, skinny, pointy-on-both-ends leaf image from the Planted Paradise Set on Block B so the smooth side is face up and is what you will stamp with. Ink it up with the Soft Sea Foam Ink Pad. Stamp it two times on the horizontal, 1-1/2" x 8" white strip leaving room to cut the images out. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy and flip it over on the block so the detailed side is face up and is what you will stamp with. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of one of the previously stamped leaves so you have a two-toned leaf. Without re-inking, stamp it again over the other previously stamped leaf so you have a slightly lighter two-toned leaf. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy and put it away.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out all the stamped images by hand.
Mount the slightly larger stem with rounded leaves on it image from the Planted Paradise Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it a few times on the 1-1/4" x 2-1/4" white strip so the tops of the leaves are near the top edge of the strip. Stamp a couple of the images without re-inking the stamp. Change the orientation of the stamp slightly each time.
Mount the slightly smaller stem with rounded leaves on it image from the Planted Paradise Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp on Grid Paper. Without re-inking stamp it on the 1-1/4" x 2-1/4" white strip so the tops of the leaves are near the top edge of the strip and it overlaps the other leaves a bit. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy. Re-ink the stamp with the Soft Sea Foam Ink Pad. Stamp it a couple more times on the white strip so the tops of the leaves are near the top edge of the strip and it overlaps the other leaves a bit. Change the orientation of the stamp slightly each time.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the leaves along the top and left and right edges. Leave a bit of white uncut along the bottom edge.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the cut out leaves and pots on the front of the card to figure out spacing and placement. When happy with it, adhere the leaves to the back of each of the pots as shown.
Use Stampin' Seal and Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the big pot with leaves attached to the top of the easel. Use Stampin' Seal and Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the upside down funnel pot with leaves attached to the lower left side of the card so it overlaps the left leg of the easel.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the regular, squared off pot with leaves attached to the front of the card so it overlaps the right edge of the right leg of the easel a bit.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a butterfly from a sheet of Brushed Brass Butterflies making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the right side of the designer paper circle cut out as shown above the regular potted plant.
