B right and cheery card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Dapper Denim Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3" x 4-1/2" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2" x 4" from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
- 3-1/4" square from Dapper Denim Cardstock
- 3" square from Pool Party Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 6" from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
- 2" x 3" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- scrap of Pool Party Cardstock
Open the Basket Weave Dynamic Embossing Folder in front of you. Lightly rub the open Crumb Cake Ink Pad over the inside of the front flap (the one that has the "Sizzix" and "Stampin' Up!" logos on it). You are just trying to get a little ink on the raised areas.
Place the large Crumb Cake rectangle inside the inked up Basket Weave Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed Crumb Cake rectangle to the front of the Dapper Denim card so it is about 1/2" from the top and bottom edges and the left edge is 3/8" in from the left side.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Insert the 2" x 4" strip of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
As you are ready to stamp on each piece of cardstock using the Picnic with You Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Picnic with You Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Dapper Denim Ink Pad. Stamp it on the Lemon Lime Twist banner with the notch on the right side as close to the bottom edge and the notch as you can get it.
Adhere the stamped Lemon Lime Twist banner to the card front so the left edge is equal with the left edge of the basket weave layer and it is about 1/2" up from the bottom of the basket weave layer.
Cut a 2" piece of the Lemon Lime Twist 3/8" Mini Striped Ribbon.
Fold the ribbon in half horizontally so the fold is at the bottom. Use Paper Snips to cut at a sharp downward angle towards the fold on one end. Unfold the ribbon. You should have a notch in the end of the ribbon.
Put a couple of Glue Dots on the back of the ribbon piece. Adhere the ribbon to the Lemon Lime Twist sentiment banner so the notched end is on the right and is about 3/4" from the notched edge of the banner and about 1/4" down from the top.
Pick out the scalloped circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 2-13/16" scalloped circle. Place the Dapper Denim square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped circle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 2-5/8" circle. Place the Pool Party square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the Pool Party circle to the center of the Dapper Denim scallop circle.
Adhere the matted circle to the card front so it is just over the top of the sentiment on the banner and the left edge sticks out over the left edge of the basket weave layer just a bit. Make sure the left edge of the ribbon piece is covered.
Mount the basket image from the Picnic with You Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small Crumb Cake rectangle.
Pick out the matching basket outline framelit from the Picnic Basket Builder Framelits. Place the stamped basket image on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the basket outline framelit on top so it is centered over the image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the basket weave framelit from the Picnic Basket Builder Framelits. Place the cut out basket image on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the basket weave framelit on top so it is centered over the bottom of the basket. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. This adds a little texture to the bottom of the basket, but does not cut anything out.
Put SNAIL Adhesive on the back of the basket cut out along the bottom and middle. Do NOT put adhesive along the top edge. Adhere the basket cut out to the circles on the card front so the bottom corners of the basket just touch the left and right edges on the bottom of the Pool Party circle.
Mount the stems and leaves image on Block C. Ink it up with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the 2-1/2" x 6" Lemon Lime Twist rectangle. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it in the center of the rectangle. Re-ink the stamp one more time and stamp it on the other end of the rectangle. Make sure you leave room between each stamped image to cut them out with the framelit.
Pick out the matching leaves and stems framelit from the Picnic Basket Builder Framelits. Place the stamped Lemon Lime Twist rectangle on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the leaves and stems framelit on top of one of the stamped images so it is centered over the image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Repeat with the other two stamped leaves and stems images. Do NOT throw away the leftover cardstock.
Pick out the tuft of grass framelit from the Picnic Basket Builder Framelits. Place the remaining Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the tuft of grass framelit on top somewhere where it fits. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces.
Use a Mini Glue Dot or the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the tuft of grass to the bottom left side of the basket.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the leaves and stems cut outs to the card front so they appear to be coming out of the basket. Angle them slightly in different directions. Cut off the bottoms of the stems if necessary.
Mount the large flower image from the Picnic with You Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad and stamp it the Daffodil Delight cardstock. Re-ink the stamp two more times and stamp it twice more. Make sure to leave room between each flower to cut them out with the matching framelit and leave room to stamp the small flower two times.
Mount the small flower image from the Picnic with You Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad and stamp it on the Daffodil Delight cardstock. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it once more. Make sure to leave room between each flower to cut them out with the matching framelit.
Pick out the matching large and small flower framelits from the Picnic Basket Builder Framelits. Place the stamped flower images on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the small flower framelit on top of one small flower image so it is centered over the image and the large flower framelit on top of one of the large flower images so it is centered over the image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Repeat with the flower images.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the three large flowers to the stems. Use a Mini Glue Dot or the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the small flowers to the stems.
Mount the butterfly image from the Picnic with You Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Dapper Denim Ink Pad and stamp it on a scrap of Pool Party Cardstock.
Pick out the matching butterfly framelit from the Picnic Basket Builder Framelits. Place the stamped butterfly image on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the butterfly framelit on top so it is centered over the image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the butterfly cut out to the front of the card near the notch in the sentiment banner just above the sentiment.
