C olor Coaches for current Stampin' Up! colors using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Print off the Color Coach documents using your computer and copy paper.
Cut the color coach panels apart using a Stampin' Trimmer and following the guide lines on the paper. You should end up with rectangles of copy paper about 2-7/8" x 3-7/8".
Cut coordinating pieces of 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" cardstock of each color offered by Stampin' Up! except for Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White.
Adhere each color coach piece printed on copy paper to the coordinating color of cardstock using SNAIL.
To make the cover piece, cut cardstock to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 3" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" from coordinating color of cardstock (Poppy Parade, Pool Party, Highland Heather, and Old Olive used on my samples)
As you are ready to stamp on the white cardstock using the Pick A Pennant and Make A Difference Sets, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Be sure to put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the rounded pennants banner stamp from the Pick A Pennant Set on Block I. Ink it up with the coordinating color of your choice (Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, and Balmy Blue used on my samples). Stamp once onto Grid Paper. Then, WITHOUT re-inking, stamp across the top of the white rectangle at a slight downward angle to the right side. Make sure you get 6 almost complete rounded pennants stamped on the white rectangle.
Mount the pointy pennants banner stamp from the Pick A Pennant Set on Block I. Ink it up with the coordinating color of your choice (Grapefruit Grove, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, and Highland Heather used on my samples). Stamp across the white rectangle at a slight upward angle to the right side so that the right edge is just below the right edge of the previously stamped rounded pennants banner. Make sure you get 5 complete pointy pennants stamped on the white rectangle with two half pointy pennants on each end.
Mount the rounded pennants banner stamp from the Pick A Pennant Set on Block I again. Ink it up with the coordinating color of your choice (Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, and Balmy Blue used on my samples). Stamp across the white rectangle at a slight downward angle to the right side so that the left end is just below the left side of the previously stamped pointy pennants banner. Make sure you get 5 complete rounded pennants stamped on the white rectangle with two partial rounded pennants on each end.
One at a time, mount the letters "A," "C," "H," "L," "O," and "R" from the Pick A Pennant Set on Block A. Ink them up with the coordinating color (Lovely Lipstick, Night of Navy, Granny Apple Green, and Old Olive used on my samples) and stamp them on the pennants to spell the word "Color" on the pointy pennants banner and the word "Coach" on the bottom rounded pennants banner. Make sure you stamp the letters on the complete pennants on each banner.
Mount the small, striped rounded pennant image from the Pick A Pennant Set on Block A. Ink it up with the coordinating color (Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, and Balmy Blue used on my samples) and stamp it over the tops of the two partial rounded pennants on either end of the rounded pennants banner on the bottom. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Mount the small, crosshatched pointy pennant image from the Pick A Pennant Set on Block A. Ink it up with the coordinating color (Grapefruit Grove, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, and Highland Heather used on my samples) and stamp it over the tops of the two partial pointy pennants on either end of the pointy pennants banner. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Mount the bird outline image from the Pick A Pennant Set on Block A. Ink it up with the coordinating color (Lovely Lipstick, Poppy Parade, Highland Heather, and Old Olive used on my samples) and stamp it on top of the right edge of the bottom, pointy pennants banner.
Mount the solid bird interior image from the Pick A Pennant Set on Block A. Ink it up with the coordinating color (Grapefruit Grove, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, and Balmy Blue used on my samples) and stamp it inside the previously stamped bird outline image.
Mount the "#MAKEACARD" sentiment from the Make A Difference Set on Block G. Ink it up with the coordinating color (Lovely Lipstick, Night of Navy, Flirty Flamingo, and Granny Apple Green used on my samples) and stamp it in the lower left corner of the white rectangle.
Mount the "#SENDACARD" sentiment from the Make A Difference Set on Block G. Ink it up with the coordinating color (Lovely Lipstick, Night of Navy, Flirty Flamingo, and Granny Apple Green used on my samples) and stamp it in the lower right corner of the white rectangle.
Mount the tiny, outline star image from the Pick A Pennant Set on Block A. Ink it up with the coordinating color (Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, and Old Olive used on my samples) and stamp it in between the stamped sentiments on the bottom of the rectangle. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy if you are going to use a different color on the next step.
Re-ink the tiny, outline star image using a coordinating color (Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, and Balmy Blue used on my samples) and stamp it in the middle of the first, third, and fifth rounded pennants on the rounded pennant banner on the top of the white rectangle (count starting from the left side). Re-ink the stamp each time.
Mount the tiny, solid heart image from the Pick A Pennant Set on Block A. Ink it up with the coordinating color (Lovely Lipstick, Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo, and Balmy Blue used on my samples) and stamp it in the middle of the second, fourth, and sixth rounded pennants on the rounded pennant banner on the top of the white rectangle (count starting from the left side). Re-ink the stamp each time.
Mount the tiny, solid star image from the Pick A Pennant Set on Block A. Ink it up with the coordinating color (Grapefruit Grove, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, and Balmy Blue used on my samples) and stamp it in the center of the outline star image between the sentiments on the bottom of the rectangle.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the coordinating color of cardstock (Poppy Parade, Pool Party, Highland Heather, and Old Olive used on my samples).
Stack the color coach cardstock pieces on top of each other in order. I like to order mine by color collection, but you can also stack all the reds, oranges, yellows, etc. together if you prefer.
Punch a small hole in the upper left corner of each cardstock piece. If you use a Crop-A-Dile, you can punch several pieces of cardstock at one time and can set the Crop-A-Dile so you punch the hole in the same area each time.
Put the cardstock pieces onto a binder ring and close it up.
