Q uick and easy Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Specialty Paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Evening Evergreen Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Soft Succulent Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 6-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Soft Succulent Cardstock
- small scrap of Be Dazzling 6" x 6" Specialty Paper
As you are ready to stamp using the Perfectly Plaid Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Merry Christmas" sentiment from the Perfectly Plaid Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Evening Evergreen Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper left corner of the vertical, large Soft Succulent rectangle.
Insert the large, stamped Soft Succulent rectangle into the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder so the trees are vertical on the vertical rectangle and the sentiment is in a clear area that won't be embossed in the upper left corner. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the stamped and dry embossed Soft Succulent rectangle to the front of the Evening Evergreen card.
Mount the outline leaves Christmas tree image from the Perfectly Plaid Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Evening Evergreen Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the vertical strip of Soft Succulent Cardstock.
Mount the solid leaves Christmas tree image from the Perfectly Plaid Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Soft Succulent Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped outline tree image on the Soft Succulent Cardstock.
Unlock the Pine Tree Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped tree image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the punched out pine tree image to the front of the card in the lower right corner.
Mount the more realistic, small pinecone image from the Perfectly Plaid Set on Block A. Ink it up with either one of the ink pads. Stamp it on the back (smooth white) side of the scrap of Be Dazzling 6" x 6" Specialty Paper. Allow it to dry for a minute or two.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the pinecone by hand.
Put a Mini Stampin' Dimensional on the stamped side of the tiny pinecone cut out and adhere it to the front of the card near the lower right side of the sentiment (the shiny, dazzling paper should be face up!). Leave room for the ribbon knot though!
Cut a 3" piece of Soft Succulent 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card so it is at the top of the dazzling pinecone cut out and at the bottom right side of the stamped sentiment.
