Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips Scissors:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 2", 3-1/8", 5-3/8", and 6-1/2"
- 2 pieces each 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" of ruler marks on dark yellow background design from Trusty Toolbox 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the marks are vertical on the vertical strips
- 2" x 5-1/4" of rows of white screwdrivers on red background design from Trusty Toolbox 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the screwdrivers are horizontal on the vertical rectangle
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- various tools cut out of Trusty Toolbox 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper using Paper Snips Scissors
- 2" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock (for back center panel where you can stamp and write a message)
Fold the Real Red card on all score lines. The two outside score lines should be a valley fold and the two inner score lines should be a mountain fold so that your card will open and stand up as shown.
Adhere the two strips of ruler marks Trusty Toolbox Designer Paper to the two outer panels on the front of the card.
Adhere the strip of screwdrivers Trusty Toolbox Designer Paper to the front center panel of the card as shown.
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 2-1/8" x 3-1/2" from the Deckled Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Mount the "you are loved beyond measure" sentiment from the Perennial Postage Set on Block H.
Carefully ink up ONLY the words "you are" using the side of the brush tip of the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. Carefully ink up ONLY the word "loved" using the side of the brush tip of the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the sentiment in the upper right corner of the horizontal rectangle cut out. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave the stamp on the block.
Carefully ink up ONLY the word "beyond" using the side of the brush tip of the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the sentiment on the horizontal rectangle cut out at a slight angle just below the word "loved" already stamped on the right side of the rectangle. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave the stamp on the block.
Carefully ink up ONLY the word "measure" using the side of the brush tip of the Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the sentiment on the horizontal rectangle cut out at a slight, different angle just below the word "beyond" already stamped on the right side of the rectangle. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy and put it away.
Uncap the brush tip end of the Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends Combo Pack. Hold the tip horizontally about an inch over the stamped rectangle cut out. Repeatedly strike the end of the Stampin' Blends marker using the Bone Folder to make splatters of ink all over the rectangle. Move the marker around to get full coverage.
Tip: Make sure you have some Grid Paper under the rectangle to protect you work surface from ink and make sure anything you don't want to get splattered is close by.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker to carefully outline the edges of the stamped and splattered rectangle cut out.
If you haven't done so yet, use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out a various tool images by hand from the Trusty Toolbox Designer Paper. I tried to cut out only ones with red and yellow colors primarily.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the pencil to the stamped and splattered rectangle cut out at an angle as shown on the left side of the rectangle.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals and pieces cut from the edges of the Dimensionals sheet to adhere the measuring tape to the rectangle as shown at a slight angle so it overlaps the pencil.
Lay the rectangle cut out UPSIDE DOWN so it is centered over the center panel of the card. Put pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive horizontally across the back of the rectangle making sure they are NOT longer than the center panel.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and adhere the rectangle to the center panel of the card. Make sure it is centered side to side and that NO adhesive goes over the score lines on either side of the panel. The top of the rectangle should be about 3/4" from the top of the card.
Adhere the remaining tools in place using Stampin' Dimensionals and pieces cut from the edges of the dimensionals sheet and Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen. Let the two tools on the center panel slightly overlap the bottom of the rectangle cut out. Make sure NO adhesive goes over the score lines on either side of the center panel.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large Daffodil Delight heart from a sheet of Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the front of the card as shown at a slight angle over the tools on the rectangle cut out and just to the left of the top part of the sentiment.
If desired, stamp a sentiment on the remaining long, skinny white rectangle. Adhere it to the center panel on the BACK of the card.
