Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and glitter paper (f used) pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3" x 3-1/2" of large black and white stripes design from Cute Halloween 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are vertical on the horizontal rectangle
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Black 12" x 12" Glitter Paper or Basic Black Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
3/4" x 3-1/2" from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Penguin Place Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the striped designer paper on the top of the vertical large white rectangle so it is centered side to side and is about 3/8" from the top.
Mount the "I like you a lottle" and "It's like a little except a lot" sentiments together on Block H so there is a little space between them and the shorter sentiment is on top and evenly spaced over the longer sentiment. Ink up the sentiments using the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp them about 3/8" below the bottom of the designer paper onto the white cardstock so they are centered side to side.
Now, adhere the designer paper piece in place over the stamped sentiments.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle with designer paper attached to the front of the Pumpkin Pie card.
Unlock the Penguin Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the glitter paper (or black cardstock) into the punch and get it centered in the punching area of the full penguin body. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Mount the standing penguin image from the Penguin Place Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp the penguin so his head is on the bottom on the bottom edge of the vertical white strip.
Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped penguin image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area of the interior penguin body. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Basic Black Marker to outline the edges of the interior penguin body punch out and cover any white bits along the edges as needed.
Mount the tiny, triangular beak image from the Penguin Place Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the face of the penguin interior body punch out so the triangular beak is pointing down.
Mount the tiny, bowtie image from the Penguin Place Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the penguin interior body punch out between the head and body.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the stamped and outlined interior body punch out to the center of the glitter paper penguin punch out.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the layered penguin to the front of the card so it is centered in the striped designer paper rectangle.
Mount the single penguin foot image from the Penguin Place Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad and stamp it twice on either end of the Pumpkin Pie strip. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Holding the unlocked Penguin Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide one of the stamped feet images into the punch and get it centered in the punching area of the foot. Punch. Repeat with the other foot.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the punched out feet to the front of the card at the base of the penguin as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large Pumpkin Pie star, a large black star, and a small black star from the sheet of Cute Stars Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card randomly around the sentiments.
