B
right and fun birthday card using a variety of stamps and colors.
I also think he would be super cute to cut his arm off and point it upwards like he was being pulled up. I thought of that idea too late. Just make sure not to stamp him on the white layer if you are going to do that or mask off his arm.
Project Recipe
Card base is 81/2 x 51/2 - Watermelon Wonder, basic black layer is 1/4 inch smaller and the white is 1/8 in smaller than that.
create the background by stamping the tree from Wonderland stamp set several times along the bottom portion of the white card stock with Garden Green ink. Put them at different heights and stamp a couple of times before inking the stamp again.
Using Soft Sky ink stamp the smaller brushstroke stamp from Work of Art on the top portion of the white and then stamp the clouds in random spots.
Stamp the Happy Birthday with Watermelon Wonder ink.
Stamp the penguin from Snow Place stamp set on white cardstock and and color his feet and beak with the Pumpkin Pie marker. Then stamp the bow tie in Watermelon Wonder.
Using the Snow Friends framelits, run the penguin and bow tie through the Big Shot.
I also stamped the penguin on the white card stock when I figured out where I was going to put him. I then used dimensionals to pop up the one I just cut out and stuck it over the top.
I punched out the balloons in the various colors and stamped the speckles on them in the same color as the paper.
I then pulled the bakers twine into several threads and tied it around the base of the balloons and the retwisted it back together to the penguins hand.
The balloons are glued down and some use dimensionals for depth.
