T
he inspiration for this peekaboo fold card comes from Ronda Wade.
It's a good use of designer series paper. And heat embossing the sentiment gives it an extra pop!
Project Recipe

11" x 4 1/4", score at 5 1/2"
3 1/4" x 2 1/2" - Banner Die Cut
Basic White -
4" x 3 1/4" - inside layer
Designer Series Paper -

6" x 2 3/8" - envelope flap
Ribbon -
5 1/4" - to wrap around the front layer
4" - to tie the knot on the front layer
Instructions:
Burnish card base on the score line.
Take the 5 1/4" x 4" piece of designer series paper and wrap the longer piece of ribbon around the center. Apply adhesive on the back of the layer on each side to secure the ends of the ribbon.
Adhere the DSP to the card front.
Take the 8" x 5 1/4" piece of designer series paper and burnish on the score lines. Fold on score lines, folding them both so that the panels meet in the center.
Apply adhesive to the back of the DSP and attach it to the inside of the card.
Take the 4" x 3 1/4" piece of Basic White and stamp the sentiment and images using Garden Green ink.
Adhere the layer to the inside of the Designer Series Paper. The panels should fold over the sentiment, creating the "peekaboo" effect.
Using the banner die, die cut the 3 1/4" x 2 1/2" piece of Moody Mauve.
Use the embossing buddy across the die-cut piece to remove oils and static. Stamp the sentiment, the flower, and the stem using Veramark ink.
NOTE: For the best results, make sure your Versamark pad is juicy. You may want to re-ink it before using it as the ink can dry out if it hasn't been used in a while.
Liberally coat the stamped images with white embossing powder. Shake off the excess and use a detail paint brush to remove any stray flecks of powder.
Using the Heat Tool, apply even heat over the powder until you see it begin to transition to a shiny appearance. Move the heat gun back and forth over the powder until all the images are shiny. Be careful not to overheat the images. They will flatten out and turn dull with too much heat.
Apply dimensional to the back of the pennant and attach it to the center of the card front, over the ribbon. Take the remaining piece of ribbon and thread it under the ribbon on the card front and tie it in a knot. Trim the ends of the ribbon.
Add embellishments.
Take your envelope and apply adhesive to the flap, Attach the 6" x 2 3/8" piece of DSP to the flap, then turn it over and trim off the excess.
You are finished!
