P retty sympathy card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of small purple watercolored poppies from Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper, cut so the poppies are vertical on the horizontal rectangle
- 2-3/4" square from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock
- 2-3/4" square from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" square from Basic Black Cardstock
Adhere the rectangle of Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper to the large Blackberry Bliss rectangle and then to the front of the Rich Razzleberry card.
Pick out the large, open flower die from the Poppy Moments Dies. Put it on top of the Rich Razzleberry square rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Pick out the large, detailed flower die from the Poppy Moments Dies. Put it on top of the Blackberry Bliss square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the Blackberry Bliss detailed flower cut out over the top of the solid Rich Razzleberry flower cut out.
Pick out the large spiky flower center with a small hole in the center on one half die from the Poppy Moments Dies. Put it on top of the Basic Black square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Mini Glue Dots to adhere the spiky center to the center of the flower.
Pick out the large, detailed grouping of flowers die from the Poppy Moments Dies. Put it on top of the smaller Blackberry Bliss rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Paper Snips to carefully cut out the grouping of flowers cut out around the edges.
Mount the "With Deepest Sympathy," "Thank You," "Thinking of you with all my heart," or "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle.
Pick out the smaller label die with rounded ends from the Painted Labels Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the flower, cut out flower grouping, and sentiment on the front of the card as shown to get an idea for spacing and placement.
One at a time, use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the grouping of flowers cut out in place. Use SNAIL to adhere the flower in place. Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment in place.
Cut a 10" piece of Whisper White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Place the ribbon on some Grid Paper on your work surface to protect your work area.
Use the brush tip of the Dark and Light Blackberry Bliss and Dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends to color the ribbon in rough horizontal stripes down the length of the ribbon. Set the ribbon aside to dry.
Use the brush tip of the Rich Razzleberry Dark Stampin' Blends to color a large and two small frosted droplets on a sheet of Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets while they are on the sheet. Set aside to dry.
Tie the ribbon in a small bow. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow to the front of the card at a slight angle in the lower left corner of the sentiment label cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up the colored epoxy droplets from the sheet making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere the large one to the spiky center of the flower and the two smaller ones to either end of the sentiment label.
