Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Misty Moonlight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Mossy Meadow Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" of various leaf sprays and blue splatters on white background design from Beauty Of The Earth Designer Series Paper
- 1/2" x 3" from Misty Moonlight Cardstock
- 1/2" x 3" from Mossy Meadow Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3" from Night Of Navy Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
Mount the shorter sentiment of choice from the Peaceful Moments Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the strip of white cardstock, leaving room to punch the sentiment out.
Unlock the Label Me Lovely Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Place the punched out sentiment on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Unscrew the fine brush tip Water Painter and fill the barrel with water before screwing the tip back in place.
Tip: The Water Painters unscrew in the opposite direction of what you'd expect.
Put some drops of Misty Moonlight Ink Refill into a container or on a large clear block or other non-porous surface. Squeeze a couple of drops of water from the Water Painter into the ink. Mix the ink and water together and get the tip of the Water Painter loaded with inky water.
Hold the inky tip of the Water Painter a couple of inches over the sentiment punch out at a slightly above horizontal angle. Tap the brush tip end of the Water Painter sharply with your finger to make drops of inky water splatter onto the sentiment punch out. Move the position of the Water Painter around and get more inky water on the tip as needed until you've got all the splatters you want. Set aside to allow to dry.
Tip: The closer you hold the tip of the Water Painter to the cardstock, the larger the splatters will be.
Tip: Make sure you move everything you don't want to get splatters on out of the way before splattering!
Adhere the piece of Beauty Of The Earth Designer Paper to the center of the large Mossy Meadow rectangle.
Adhere the matted designer paper to the front of the Misty Moonlight card.
Adhere the thin strip of Misty Moonlight cardstock to the front of the card so the left edge touches the left edge of the designer paper and the bottom edge is about 1-1/4" from the bottom of the designer paper.
Adhere the thin strip of Mossy Meadow cardstock to the front of the card so the right edge touches the right edge of the designer paper and the top edge overlaps the bottom of the Misty Moonlight strip by about 1/8".
Slide the strip of Night Of Navy cardstock into the open Label Me Lovely Punch and punch.
Use Paper Snips to cut the Night Of Navy punch out in half from one straight edge to the other straight edge.
If the splattered sentiment punch out is dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying if you wish using a Heat Tool.
Adhere the cut Night Of Navy punch out pieces to the back of the splattered sentiment punch out so a thin line of Night Of Navy shows at the top and bottom edges.
Adhere the matted sentiment punch out to the front of the card so it is centered over the Misty Moonlight and Mossy Meadow strips.
Cut a 12" piece of the Night Of Navy Twine from the Well Suited Twine Combo Pack.
Fold the twine in half. Tie a small bow in the center of the folded twine. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the twine bow to the front of the card near the bottom right side of the sentiment punch out.
