Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Daffodil Delight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" of tiny outlined and solid black hearts on white background design from All Together 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the hearts are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" of black plus signs on white background design from All Together 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 1/4" x 6" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Pacific Point Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
Place the hearts designer paper rectangle on your Stampin' Trimmer at an angle so the upper right and lower left corners are on the cutting line. Cut the designer paper in half on the diagonal. Do the same thing with the plus signs designer paper piece.
Rub a Blending Brush across the open Daffodil Delight Ink Pad to get it inky. Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush all over the triangle of hearts designer paper from the upper left side. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed. Make sure you have a piece of Grid Paper under the rectangle to protect your work surface.
Rub a different Blending Brush across the open Pacific Point Ink Pad to get it inky. Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush all over the triangle of plus signs paper from the lower right side. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed. Make sure you have a piece of Grid Paper under the rectangle to protect your work surface.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Place the two triangles of colored designer paper on top of the Silicone Craft Sheet so they form a rectangle.
Put a line of Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen down the back of the thin Daffodil Delight strip. Adhere the strip across the seam between the two pieces of designer paper. Allow to dry for a moment.
Remove the designer paper rectangle with strip adhered across the seam from the Silicone Craft Sheet. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess Daffodil Delight Cardstock on the corners.
Adhere the designer paper/cardstock strip rectangle to the center of the large white rectangle and then to the front of the Daffodil Delight card.
Mount the "thank you" or "happy birthday" sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Pacific Point Ink Pad. Stamp it near the center of one end of the remaining white strip of cardstock.
Unlock the smooth heart punch from the Heart Punch Pack. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Rub the Blending Brush used for the Daffodil Delight Ink across the open Daffodil Delight Ink Pad to get it inky. Very lightly rub the inky Blending Brush all over the sentiment heart punch out.
Unlock the scalloped heart punch from the Heart Punch Pack. Slide the Pacific Point rectangle into the punch. Punch.
Adhere the blended sentiment heart punch out to the center of the Pacific Point scalloped heart punch out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the layered heart punch outs to the front of the card as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a medium Crushed Curry dot from a sheet of Playing With Patterns Resin Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the bottom of the layered heart punch outs if there is room.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a small Crushed Curry dot from a sheet of Playing With Patterns Resin Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the bottom right corner of the plus signs designer paper triangle.
