Project Recipe
Cut Sweet Sugarplum card stock 5.5 x 8.5, score at 4.25 and fold to create a side fold A2 card
Cut 2 4 x 5.25 Whisper White pieces
Attach one to the inside of the card
To create the card front art layer use the Stamparatus stamp positioning tool.
To set up the tool lay the Whisper White card stock on the grid plate I positioned the left edge of the card tight to the edge of the Stamparatus and the top edge of the card one grid section down. Set magnets on side and bottom edges of the card stock to hold in place.. (do not use the foam pad as these stamps are rubber mount and you don't need it.)
Using the larger flower outline stamp place the image close to the top left edge of the card stock face down.
Close the clear plate over and press to adhere the stamp to the plate. (hint - with rubber mount stamps I sometimes use a spot of removable adhesive tape on the back of the stamp so it stays stuck and does not move or fall off)
Once the stamp is stuck to the plate open it up and ink the stamp. (Hint: I have begun using Stampin' Spots to ink stamps when using the Stamparatus. They are much easier to use than the full size pads. You can purchase uninked Stampin' Spots and add your color to them.)
Once the stamp is inked, close the clear plate and press on the plate over the stamp. (open it up, if it's stamped well move on if not re-ink and try again.)
With the clear plate standing straight up lift the plate from the hinges move it down one and reattach.
Clean ink from the stamp with a baby wipe and reink with the next color - close to stamp this image
Clean the stamp with a baby wipe, move the clear plate down one, ink and stamp.
Continue until you have 5 flowers down the side of the Whisper White piece.
Stamp the gift image with Basic Black archival ink. Be sure to let it dry thouroughly before coloring. It takes a while for the black ink to dry on the Whisper White and it smears easily if you don't let it dry.
Using the Panda Party image with the balloon ink the balloon only and stamp on one balloon in each of the same five colors as the flowers.
You can do this one of two ways. You can just tap the balloon image onto an ink pad or you can use a marker to color the balloon only.
With the Basic Black marker draw the lines from the balloons to the gift box bow.
Now here is a fun little trick. To color the balloons and the flowers and stems on the gift box use the Clear Wink of Stella brush.
Begin by tapping the ink pad onto a clear block so that you have a little bit of the ink on the block.
Then pick up the color with the Clear Wink of Stella brush and color in the balloons and other images.
This is really cool because you get the color and the shimmer all at the same time.
To clean the brush I simple wipe it on a baby wipe till the tip is clean and then move on to the next color.
I stamp the ink onto the clear block to keep from leaving wink of stella on the ink pads.
