Project Recipe
Cut cardstoc, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of pale purple gingham check design from Pansy Petals 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/4" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
- 1-5/8" x 2-1/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1" x 3-3/4" from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
- 7/8" x 3-5/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1" square from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
- 7/8" square from Adhesive Sheets
- 1-1/4" x 1-1/2" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
Adhere the piece of gingham check Pansy Petals Designer Paper to the large Highland Heather rectangle.
Cut a 6" piece of the Highland Heather 1/2" Grosgrain Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the horizontal layered designer paper/cardstock pieces so it is about 1-1/2" from the top edge. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Highland Heather rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Gorgeous Grape card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Pansy Patch Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large block sentiment of choice from the Pansy Patch Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the smooth circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a smooth circle that is 2-1/8" diameter. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment with the sentiment slightly to the right side. Run through the machine.
Adhere the sentiment circle cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon top to to bottom and the right edge of the circle is about 1-3/8" from the right edge of the card.
Pick out the solid, veined, large, single pansy top petal die from the Pansy Dies. Put it on top of one end of the strip of Highland Heather on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick if needed to remove the pieces. Put the die back on the other end of the Highland Heather strip and run through the machine again so you have two petals.
Pick out the solid, veined, large, pansy bottom petals die from the Pansy Dies. Put it on top of the strip of Fresh Freesia on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick if needed to remove the pieces.
Pick out the solid, large, straight up and down leaf die from the Pansy Dies. Put it on top of the Granny Apple Green rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Peel the protective backing off of the 1-5/8" x 2-1/8" Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" Gorgeous Grape rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the large, bottom pansy petals edging die from the Pansy Dies. Put it on top of the rectangle of Gorgeous Grape on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the purple side of the cardstock is up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the pansy bottom petals edging cut out. Adhere it to the top of the solid Fresh Freesia pansy bottom petals cut out.
Peel the protective backing off of the 7/8" x 3-5/8" Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the 1" x 3-3/4" Gorgeous Grape rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the thin, top edging, single pansy petal die from the Pansy Dies. Put it on top of one end of the strip of Gorgeous Grape on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the purple side of the cardstock is up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed. Put the die back on the other end of the Gorgeous Grape strip and run through the machine again so you have two edging pieces.
One at a time, carefully remove the protective backings from the single pansy petal edging cut outs and adhere them to the tops of the single Highland Heather pansy petal cut outs.
Peel the protective backing off of the 7/8" square of Adhesive Sheets. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets square to one side of the 1" square of Gorgeous Grape. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the small, solid pansy face center die from the Pansy Dies. Put it on top of the small rectangle of Gorgeous Grape on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the purple side of the cardstock is up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the pansy face center cut out and adhere it to the center of the Fresh Freesia pansy bottom petals cut out.
Adhere the two single Highland Heather pansy petals to the front of the card so they overlap each other slightly and the right petal overlaps the upper left side of the sentiment circle a bit and the bottoms of the petals are near the bottom of the ribbon on the card front.
Adhere the single leaf cut out to the front of the card so it points down at a slight angle and nearly touches the left edge of the designer paper. The end of the leaf should be near the bottom of the ribbon and the bottoms of the single pansy petal cut outs.
Adhere the pansy bottom petals cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottoms of the single petal cut outs, the end of the leaf cut out, and the lower left side of the sentiment circle cut out.
Use the Dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blends to color over one of the clear circles on the sheet of Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up the colored epoxy circle making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the pansy flower in the notch at the top of the pansy face.
Cut a 4" piece of the Highland Heather 1/2" Grosgrain Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the right side of the sentiment circle cut out so it is centered over the ribbon already on the card.
