Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pool Party Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 4" of red flowers, green leaves, and purple berries on light blue background from Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2" from Old Olive Cardstock
Mount the branch with leaves image from the Painted Poppies Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the large Old Olive rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock. Rotate the angle of the image every so often.
Adhere the rectangle of Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper to the stamped Old Olive rectangle so the right edge of the designer paper is about 3/8" from the right edge of the cardstock.
Cut a 6-1/2" piece of Real Red 3/8" Cotton Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the cardstock/designer paper rectangle so the bottom of the ribbon is about 1-1/8" from the bottom of the cardstock. Secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add SNAIL to the back of the Old Olive rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Pool Party card.
Choose a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Set and mount it on the appropriate sized block. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the large white rectangle so it is slightly left of center.
Pick out the larger label die with notched corners from the Painted Labels Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered top to bottom and slightly to the left of center. Run through the tool.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon on the left side. The left side of the sentiment cut out should be about 3/8" from the left side of the card.
Mount the single leaf image from the Painted Poppies Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it twice on the Old Olive rectangle. Leave space between the images so you can cut them out with the dies. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Pick out both of the matching leaf dies from the Painted Labels Dies. Put them on top of the stamped leaves on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the leaves are centered inside their dies. Make sure the dies do not overlap. Run through the tool.
Adhere the leaf cut outs to the bottom right corner of the sentiment tag so they overlap a bit and the points on the ends are pointing to the left.
Mount the large, single flower image from the Painted Poppies Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Mount the large blob image from the Painted Poppies Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad and stamp it over the top of the previously stamped poppy flower image. Stamp again over the flower image without re-inking as needed to fill in as much of the petals as possible.
Pick out the large matching flower die from the Painted Labels Dies. Put it on top of the stamped flower on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the flower is centered. Run through the tool.
Adhere the flower cut out to the upper right corner of the sentiment cut out so it overlaps the tops of the leaves and hangs over the top and right side of the sentiment cut out a bit.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of Real Red 3/8" Cotton Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card on the right side of the sentiment cut out and flower. Tie the ribbon in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a medium gem from a sheet of Gold Faceted Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the poppy.
