Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Poppy Parade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3" x 4" from Poppy Parade Cardstock
- 3" x 4" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 3" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Insert the 4" x 5-1/4" white rectangle into the Beads & Baubles Embossing Folder so the lines are vertical on the vertical rectangle. Use the line drawn on the front of the folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of Granny Apple Green 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom of the dry embossed white rectangle so it is about 1-1/4" from the bottom. Make sure the points of the tear drops embossed into the cardstock are pointing up. Secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add SNAIL to the back of the white rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Poppy Parade card.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Peaceful Moments Set on an appropriate sized block. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the vertical 3" x 4" white rectangle.
Mount the tall, thin single poppy flower and bud image from the Painted Poppies Set on Block H. Use the brush tip of the Granny Apple Green Marker to color in the stems and leaf and the brush tip of the Poppy Parade Marker to color in the flower and bud. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp it on the left edge of the stamped white rectangle so the top of the flower is just below the sentiment.
Place the stamped white rectangle on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Mount the grouping of small poppy flowers on stems image from the Painted Poppies Set on Block I. Use the brush tip of the Granny Apple Green Marker to color in the stems and the brush tip of the Poppy Parade Marker to color in the flowers. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp the image in the lower left corner of the white rectangle so the image goes off the left and bottom edges and overlaps the stems of the previously stamped flower and bud image. Re-ink the stamp and stamp again along the bottom edge to completely fill the bottom edge. Let the edges go off the bottom and right sides.
Mount the large splatter image from the Painted Poppies Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad and stamp it over the top of the single poppy and bud image after stamping off on Grid Paper.
Mount the small splatter image from the Painted Poppies Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad and stamp it over the tops of the stamped flowers multiple times after stamping off on Grid Paper. Remember to re-ink and stamp off each time. Let the images overlap and let some of them go off the edges of the rectangle. Also stamp over the top of the single flower and bud image if desired after stamping off to fill it more thoroughly with color.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the Poppy Parade rectangle so about 1/8" of red shows on the upper and left edges of the white rectangle.
Adhere the matted and stamped white rectangle to the Granny Apple Green rectangle so about 1/8" of green shows on the bottom and right edges of the white rectangle.
Adhere the matted, stamped white rectangle to the front of the card in the center.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Granny Apple Green 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends into angles.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at a slight angle on the left side of the matted white rectangle so it is centered over the ribbon already on the card.
