Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of large lavender stems on light purple backgroun design from Perennial Lavender 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stems are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 3-1/2" square from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 2-3/4" from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
- 1" x 2-1/2" from Lost Lagoon Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 3-3/4" from Lost Lagoon Cardstock
Insert the Perennial Lavender Designer Paper rectangle into the embossing folder included in the Softly Sophisticated Bundle. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the designer paper inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed designer paper rectangle to the front of the Gorgeous Grape card. Make sure the stems are pointing up.
Pick out the circle die that cuts out a circle that is 3-1/4" diameter from the Deckled Circles Dies. Put it on top of the Highland Heather square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
As you are ready to stamp using the Painted Lavender Set or Softly Sophisticated Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Softly Sophisticated Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad. Stamp it near the top of the circle cut out as close to the right edge as possible.
Mount the set of two small butterflies image from the Painted Lavender Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad. Stamp it just below the stamped sentiment on the circle cut out so it is centered below the sentiment.
Adhere the stamped circle cut out to the front of the card so it is about 5/8" from the top and about 3/16" inch from the right side.
Mount the large bunch of 7 lavender flower stems image from the Painted Lavender Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad. BEFORE STAMPING, lay the stamp inky side up on your work surface. Thump the brush tips of the Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape Stampin' Write Markers randomly all over the inky stamp. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp it in the center of the Fresh Freesia rectangle.
Pick out the matching bunch of lavender flower stems die from the Painted Lavender Dies. Put it on top of the stamped lavender flowers bunch image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Mount the large bunch of stems image from the Painted Lavender Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the smaller Lost Lagoon rectangle.
Pick out the matching bunch of stems die from the Painted Lavender Dies. Put it on top of the stamped bunch of stems image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
If needed, use the fine tip of the Pretty Peacock Stampin' Write Marker to draw in some of the stems that may have been cut off or cut short on the stems cut out.
Pick out the large stems and leaves die from the Painted Lavender Dies. Put it on top of the remaining, larger Lost Lagoon rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut the stems/leaves cut out into two pieces.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the lavender flower stems bunch cut out, the stems bunch cut out, and the two pieces of leaves/stems on the card front as shown to figure out spacing and placement. When happy with the arrangement, adhere the pieces in place using Stampin' Seal and/or Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
Cut a 4" piece of the Silver & White 1/2" Sheer Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card so it is centered over and covers the seam between the flower stems cut out and the stems cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large and 2 small Gorgeous Grape gems from the sheet of Purple Fine Shimmer Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the sentiment circle cut out on the front of the card as shown.
