P retty birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Orchid Oasis Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Shaded Spruce Carstock
- 2-1/8" x 2-7/8" from Starry Sky Cardstock
- 2" x 2-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
Insert the Shaded Spruce rectangle into the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of both the Orchid Oasis 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon and the Silver & White 1/2" Sheer Ribbon. Lay the Orchid Oasis ribbon across the center of the sheer ribbon. Lay the ribbons across the dry embossed Shaded Spruce rectangle about 1-1/8" from the bottom. Fold the ends of the ribbons over and secure the ribbons in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Shaded Spruce rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Orchid Oasis card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Painted Lavender Set or Seasonal Branches Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the birthday sentiment from the Seasonal Branches Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Starry Sky Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the vertical white rectangle so it is centered side to side and is about 1/4" from the bottom.
Mount the short bunch of larger flowers with stems and leaves image from the Painted Lavender Set on Block C. Ink up ONLY the stems using the brush tip of the Shaded Spruce Stampin' Write Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle just above the sentiment. Leave the stamp on the block.
Ink up ONLY the flowers on the short bunch of larger flowers with stems and leaves on Block C using the brush tip of the Orchid Oasis Stampin' Write Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle so the flowers line up with the stems. Leave the stamp on the block.
Ink up ONLY portions of the flowers on the short bunch of larger flowers with stems and leaves on Block C using the brush tip of the Starry Sky Stampin' Write Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle so the flowers are on top of the previously stamped flowers.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the Starry Sky rectangle.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the rectangle to the front of the card as shown so it is about 3/8" from the right edge of the card and the sentiment is roughly centered over the ribbon.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of both the Orchid Oasis 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon and the Silver & White 1/2" Sheer Ribbon. Lay the Orchid Oasis ribbon across the center of the sheer ribbon.
Slide one end of the layered ribbons under the ribbon already on the card front on the left side of the main image. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 large and 6 small Gorgeous Grape or Highland Heather gems from the sheet of Purple Fine Shimmer Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the centers of the flowers on the front of the card as shown.
