P retty fall thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Sahara Sand Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Sahara Sand Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 6" from Garden Green Cardstock
Mount the Hardwood background stamp on Block F. Leave it face up on the work surface in front of you and ink it up by pouncing or rubbing the Sahara Sand Ink Pad all over it.
Leave the inked up Hardwood stamp face up on your work surface. Carefully place the rectangle of Sahara Sand Cardstock on the stamp. Fold the Grid Paper up and over the top of everything and rub. Using the Grid Paper protects your hands from getting ink on them.
Mount the sentiment of your choice from the Painted Harvest Set on a block. Ink it up with the Night of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the hardwood stamped Sahara Sand rectangle.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of Night of Navy 1/2" Gingham Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the stamped Sahara Sand layer so it is just above the stamped sentiment. Flip the layer over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive. Don't adhere the ribbon too tightly though, leave some give so you can tie the Linen Thread bow on the front in a later step.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the layer. Adhere the layer to the front of the Sahara Sand card.
As you are ready to stamp on each piece of cardstock using the Painted Harvest stamps, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the larger, less detailed flower petal ring image on Block D. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the middle of the vanilla square.
Mount the slightly smaller, more detailed ring of flower petals image on Block D. Ink it up with the Tangerine Tango Ink Pad. Stamp it over the yellow flower petal images you already stamped.
Mount the solid flower center image on Block B. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of the flower. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again in the center but slightly off set.
Mount the little bunch of dots image on Block A. Ink it up with the Tangerine Tango Ink Pad and stamp in the blank space in the center of the flower center.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the flower by hand.
Lay the long strip of green cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat horizontally.
Mount the more detailed 3-leaf stem image on Block B. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left side of the cardstock strip so the stem is pointing down. Stamp the stem image 2 more times, once in the center of the strip and once on the right side. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time and make sure the stems are pointing down.
Unlock the Leaf Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide one of the stamped stem images into the punch. Carefully line up the image so it is centered in the matching punching area. Punch. Repeat to punch out the remaining two stem images.
Without adhering, place the three stem images and the cut out flower on the card front so they overlap the ribbon on the left side. When you are happy with the placement, carefully adhere the stems one at a time.
Put some Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the cut out flower. Remove the protective backings and adhere the flower in place over the stems and ribbon.
Cut an 8" piece of Linen Thread.
Pinch the ribbon together on the right side and tie a bow around it with the Linen Thread. Trim the ends.
