S oft, pretty thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Seaside Spray Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 6" of Old Olive Vellum from Perennial Essence 12" x 12" Vellum Cardstock
- 1" x 3" of So Saffron Vellum from Perennial Essence 12" x 12" Vellum Cardstock
- 2 squares each 1-1/2" square from Seaside Spray Cardstock
Lightly spray the large white rectangle with water. This will help you get a deeper impression when you dry emboss it.
Insert the damp white rectangle into the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder so the planks will be horizontal across the horizontal rectangle. Run the folder with the paper inside through your die cutting and embossing tool. Set aside to allow to dry.
As you are ready to stamp using the Painted Harvest and Beautiful Bouquet Photopolymer Sets, place the cardstock or vellum on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the more detailed 3-leaf stem image from the Painted Harvest Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it on the strip of Old Olive Vellum three times so the stem is pointing down each time. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Leave space between each image so they can be punched out later. Set aside to dry.
Mount the small, six-petal flower image from the Beautiful Bouquet Set on Block A. Ink it up with the So Saffron Ink Pad. Stamp it on the strip of So Saffron Vellum three times. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Leave space between each image so they can be cut out later with the die. Set aside to dry.
Mount the "I am thankful for you" sentiment from the Painted Harvest Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Seaside Spray Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the smaller white rectangle.
Pick out the stitched oval die from the Stitched Shapes Dies that cuts out a stitched oval that is 2-3/4". Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
Pick out the grouping of 4-petal flowers die from the Bouquet Bunch Dies. Put it on top of one of the squares of Seaside Spray Cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Repeat with the other Seaside Spray square.
Use Paper Snips to cut a few flowers off of one of the Seaside Spray flower groups.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the big group of Seaside Spray flowers to the upper right side of the sentiment oval cut out. Let some of the flowers hang over the edge.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the cut down, smaller group of Seaside Spray flowers to the lower left side of the sentiment oval cut out. Let some of the flowers hang over the edge.
If the vellum flowers are dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying with the Heat Tool on the lowest setting if you wish, just be careful not to burn the vellum.
Pick out the matching small flower die from the Bouquet Bunch Dies. Put it on top of one of the stamped So Saffron vellum flower images on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the flower image is centered in the die. Run through the tool. Repeat with the other two flowers.
Use a small dot of the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue in the center of the back of each flower cut out to adhere them in place. Adhere one in the upper right corner so it overlaps the Seaside Spray flowers a bit and hangs over the edge of the sentiment oval cut out a bit. Adhere the other two to the lower left side of the sentiment oval cut out so they overlap each other and the Seaside Spray flowers a bit and hang over the edge a bit.
If the vellum leaf stems are dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying with the Heat Tool on the lowest setting if you wish, just be careful not to burn the vellum.
Unlock the Leaf Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide one of the stamped leaf stem images into the punch. Carefully line up the image so it is centered in the punching area. Punch. Repeat with the other two leaf stem images.
Adhere the leaf punches to the back of the sentiment oval using Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere two to what is the upper right side so they overlap each other and stick out past the flowers. Adhere the other to what is the lower left side so it sticks out past the flowers.
If the large white rectangle is dry, proceed with the next step. Speed up drying if needed with the Heat Tool.
Adhere the large white, dry embossed rectangle to the front of the Seaside Spray card.
Peel the protective backings off the Stampin' Dimensionals and add more as needed to the back of the sentiment oval with leaves and flowers attached. Adhere to the lower right corner of the card front.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 small Seaside Spray dots from a sheet of 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the centers of the So Saffron vellum flowers.
