Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 2 pieces each 3-1/8" x 4-3/4" from Early Espresso Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 2-1/4" x 4-3/4" of multicolored leaf sprigs on vanilla background from Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/4" square of wavy vanilla lines on dark brown background from Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/4" square of Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2" x 4-1/2" of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
- scrap of Lemon Lime Twist Carstock at least 1" wide
Line one short edge of one piece of Early Espresso Cardstock up on the Start Line on the Gift Bag Punch Board so it is pushed all the way into the Punch Board. Punch. Score along the Side 2 line and along the Horizontal line. Push the cardstock up so the scored line is even with the Start Line and punch again. Score along the Side 2 line and along the Horizontal line again. Push the cardstock up one more time so the second scored line is even with the Start Line. Punch again. Pull the whole piece down so you can score the little bit along the top with the Horizontal line. Repeat with the second piece of Early Espresso Cardstock.
Cut off the tiny flap at the bottom of the pieces.
Repeat Steps 2 and 3 using the pieces of Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper.
Put Tear & Tape Adhesive on the small flaps and adhere the two pieces of Early Espresso together to make a square. Fold the bottom flaps in and secure them to each other using Tear & Tape Adhesive. This is the bottom of your box.
Repeat Step 5 with the two pieces of designer paper to make the top of the box.
Tip: To make sure the lid will fit easily onto the box, I find it is easier to wrap the pieces of the lid around the box while I am assembling them.
Unlock the 2" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the wavy lines on brown background designer paper into the punch. Punch.
Adhere the punched out designer paper circle to the top of the box lid to help cover the seams.
As you are ready to stamp on each piece of cardstock using the Painted Harvest stamps, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the larger, less detailed flower petal ring image from the Painted Harvest Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it in the middle of the vanilla square.
Mount the slightly smaller, more detailed ring of flower petals image from the Painted Harvest Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it over the yellow flower petal images you already stamped.
Mount the solid flower center image from the Painted Harvest Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of the flower. Stamp again without re-inking in the center but slightly off set.
Mount the little bunch of dots image from the Painted Harvest Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad and stamp in the blank space in the center of the flower center. Stamp again without re-inking and slightly off set if desired.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the flower by hand.
Lay the larger strip of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat horizontally.
Mount the more detailed 3-leaf stem image from the Painted Harvest Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left side of the cardstock strip so the stem is pointing down. Re-ink the stamp and stamp the image again on the right side with the stem pointing down.
Unlock the Leaf Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide one of the stamped stem images into the punch. Carefully line up the image so it is centered in the matching punching area. Punch. Repeat with the other stem image.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the ends of the leaf stems to the top of the box lid so the leaves stick out from the top left corner of the box lid.
Use additional Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cut out flower to the top of the box lid so it is centered over the designer paper circle and covers the ends of the stems.
Mount one of the small, straight sentiments from the Banners for You Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp in the center of the scrap of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock.
Pick out the small, round ended banner framelit from the Bunch of Banners Framelits. Place the stamped sentiment on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the banner framelit on top so the sentiment is towards the left side of the banner. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use Paper Snips to cut off the right end of the banner making a small tag.
Use the 1/8" Handheld Circle Punch to punch a hole in the left end of the banner tag.
Cut a 10" piece of Crushed Curry Solid Baker's Twine.
Thread the banner tag onto the twine and tie in place in the middle using a small bow. Trim the ends of the twine.
Put a Mini Stampin' Dimensional on the back of the banner tag near the twine bow. Remove the protective backing and adhere the banner tag to the bottom right corner of the box lid so it overlaps the flower a bit and sticks off to the right of the box.
