G reat sized gift box that can be made with 1 piece of card stock and some DSP and used 2 earth magnets to keep the top closed, but punching a hole and using ribbon or twine would be just as nice.
Project Recipe
1 - piece of card stock 8" X 11"
4 - pieces of DSP 3 3/4 X 2 3/8
scrap pieces of card stock for greeting banner from Duet Banner punch (141483) and Pretty Label punch (143715)
On the 11" side of the card stock score at:
2 5/8", 5 1/4", 7 7/8" and 10 1/2"
On the 8" side score at:
2 1/4", 6 1/4" flip over and score at 7 1/2"
Turn paper so the 11" side is across the top with the 1/2" section also across the top.
Cut away the bottom right rectangle (skinny section) and cut away the top right rectangle (also a skinny section.) On the bottom row cut up to the first crossing score line which will be your 4 tabs for the bottom of the box.
Across the top you remove every-other top two sections in each column which will form the 2 sections for the top of the box.
Attach each DSP piece to the middle 4 sections on the card stock, then attach the side, then the bottom.
If you use earth magnets to close the box make sure and put a 1/2" circle punch of card stock in same color as the box on top of each magnet, or they will not come apart. Also can punch a hole and tie with ribbon to close.
