Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips Scissors:
- card from Lost Lagoon Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-1/2" x 5" from Gray Granite Cardstock
- 3-3/8 x 4-7/8" of Lost Lagoon water design from Otterly Adorable 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" from Gray Granite Cardstock
- larger, curved otter cut out by hand using Paper Snips Scissors from a sheet of Otterly Adorable 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
Pick out the solid school of fish die from the Otterly Amazing Dies. Put it on top of the verticl Lost Lagoon water Otterly Adorable Designer Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is in the upper right corner of the designer paper. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Note: You are using the large designer paper rectangle with the fish cut out of it for this project. Save one of the larger fish cut outs to adhere to the otter in a later step.
As you are ready to stamp using the Otterly Amazing Set, place the cardstock or designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the small group of bubbles image from the Otterly Amazing Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Lost Lagoon Ink Pad. Stamp the bubbles just below and to the left of the left side of the school of fish cut into the designer paper rectangle.
Use the Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush to paint some shimmer onto the upper right corner of the large, vertical Gray Granite rectangle. Make sure you don't get any shimmer within 1/8" of the top and right edges.
Adhere the stamped and cut designer paper rectangle to the shimmered Gray Granite rectangle so the shimmer shows through the fish cut outs.
Mount the "you're otterly amazing" sentiment from the Otterly Amazing Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Gray Granite Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining, horizontal Gray Granite rectangle.
Pick out the large, oval tag die from the Greetings Of The Season Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment and the hole for ribbon is on the left side. Run through the machine.
Cut two pieces of the Lost Lagoon Soft Cording each 4-1/4" long.
Thread both pieces of the cording through the hole on the left side of the sentiment label tag from the back.
Lay the cording with the sentiment label tag attached across the bottom of the matted and stamped designer paper/cardstock rectangle so the bottom of the tag will be about 5/8" from the bottom edge. Fold the ends of the cording over and secure the cording in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive. Make sure the cording on the right side of the rectangle is separated a bit as shown.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Gray Granite rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Lost Lagoon card so it is centered.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label cut out in place.
If you haven't already done so, use Paper Snips Scissors to roughly cut out a large, curved otter from a sheet of Otterly Adorable Designer Paper.
Pick out the matching, large curved otter die from the Otterly Amazing Dies. Put it on top of the roughly cut designer paper otter on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the otter cut out to the front of the card as shown so he is just tucked under the sentiment label oval a bit on the upper left side and his tail hangs over the edge of the matted designer paper/cardstock rectangle a bit on the left side.
Pick out the set of two seaweed sprigs die from the Otterly Amazing Dies. Put it on top of one side of the Lemon Lime Twist rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Remove the pieces with the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick. Repeat so you have 4 seaweed sprig cut outs.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere 3 of the seaweed sprig cut outs to the front of the card as shown so they are tucked around the otter cut out and the sentiment label cut out.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the large fish cut out you saved from the designer paper to the otter's chest.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small and 2 large Lost Lagoon pearls from a sheet of Riverside Irregular Pearls making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front as shown.
Cut a 2-1/4" piece of the Lost Lagoon Soft Cording.
Slide the cording under the cording already on the card front just to the left of the sentiment label cut out. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
