Project Recipe
Cutting Instructions:
Cardbase:
- Poppy Parade Cardstock: cut 1 @ 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4" and 2 1/8"; cut 1 @ 7/8" x 5 1/8".
- Basic White Cardstock: cut 1 @ 2 1/8" x 5 1/8"; cut 1 @ 1/2" x 4 1/8"
- Designer Series Paper: cut 1 @ 5/8" x 4 7/8".
First Layer:
- Basic White Cardstock: cut 1 @ 3 7/8" x 5 1/8", score @ 2 1/2".
- Designer Series Paper: cut 1 @ 3 5/8" x 4 7/8", score @ 2 7/16".
Second Layer:
- Basic White Cardstock: cut 1 @ 3 3/8" x 4 5/8", score @ 2 5/16".
- Designer Series Paper: cut 1 @ 3 1/8" x 4 3/8" score @ 2 3/16".
Panels:
Designer Series Paper: cut 2 @ 1 7/8" x 5 1/8".
Instructions:
- Poppy Parade Cardbase: fold on score lines and burnish with a bone folder.
- Adhere Basic White Cardstock to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of cardbase at the fold.
- Designer Series Paper 2 Panel pieces: adhere 1 piece below the Basic White Cardstock and the 2nd piece to the top of the cardbase above the 2 1/8" fold.
First Layer:
- Basic White Cardstock: fold on score line and burnish with bone folder. Curl each side of piece with something that will give it an open book look (I used the handle of a wooden spoon).
- Designer Series Paper: fold on score line and burnish with bone folder. Curl each side of piece with something that will give it an open book look (I used the handle of a wooden spoon). Adhere the DSP piece to the Basic White Cardstock making sure that the fold is adhered into the fold of the cardstock piece.
Second Layer: Repeat the process done with the First Layer.
- Designer Series Paper: Repeat the process done with the First Layer. Adhere this piece to the Basic White Cardstock.
- Adhere the Second Layer to the First Layer making sure the scored edges are inside the first layer like a book.
- Place a 1 1/2" piece of Tear & Tape to the outside edge of the top 1/2 of the First Layer and down the centre of the piece.
- Remove the backing of the Tear & Tape and keeping the curl of the piece adhere it to the top of the cardbase approximately 1/4" from the edge of the cardbase.
- Adhere the 5/8" x 4 7/8" DSP to the 7/8" x 5 1/8" piece of Poppy Parade. Using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink stamp your greeting on the 1/2" x 4 1/8" piece of Basic White Cardstock. Adhere this piece to the DSP layer. Using Stampin Dimensionals adhere the greeting piece to the DSP piece on the cardbase approximately 3/4" from the bottom of the cardbase.
- Put the Daisy Flower together and colour it with Wink of Stella. Stamp the Ladybugs wings and adhere them to the body of the ladybug. Decorate the Second Layer of your book with the Daisy Flower and the Ladybug.
- Embellish with the Rhinestone Basic Gems.
