Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Granny Apple Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White or Basic White Cardstock
- 4" square of plain Bermuda Bay ombre design from Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 4-1/2" square of Granny Apple Green ombre with white circles design from Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" square from Whisper White or Basic White Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Bermuda Bay Oh So Ombre Designer Paper to the large white rectangle so the gradations are horizontal on the vertical rectangle and the top of the designer paper is about 3/4" from the top of the white rectangle.
Pick out the curving line of tiny dots die from the Curvy Dies. Put it on top of the Granny Apple Green rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it will cut off a section of the rectangle about 2-1/2" from the bottom edge. Make sure the dots are on the bottom edge of the die so you cut off the top of the rectangle just above the dots. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Adhere the cut pieces of Granny Apple Green Cardstock to the white/designer paper layer so about 1-1/4" of the designer paper shows in between the two pieces. Make sure the piece with the dots cut along the edge is on the bottom. Trim off excess Granny Apple Green Cardstock on the top and bottom edges.
As you are ready to stamp using the Oh Snap Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the large alligator/crocodile image from the Oh Snap Set on Block F. Ink it up with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Granny Apple Green ombre with circles Oh So Ombre Designer Paper square. Leave the stamp on the block.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the stamped alligator/crocodile. You can cut off the teeth.
Re-ink the mouth and head portion of the alligator/crocodile image on Block F with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp the mouth on the small square of white cardstock.
Use Paper Snips to carefully cut out the teeth of the alligator/crocodile and leave a bit of the mouth as well.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the cut out teeth to the back of alligator/crocodile cut out so the teeth will show inside the mouth.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the cut out alligator/crocodile on top of the layered white/designer paper/Granny Apple Green curves rectangle so the mouth is centered over part of the designer paper river.
Mount the small grouping of fish and bubbles image from the Oh Snap Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Bermuda Bay Ink Pad. Stamp the fish on the designer paper river inside the alligator's mouth.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Oh Snap Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the bottom Granny Apple Green curved piece under the alligator/crocodile.
Remove the alligator/crocodile cut out.
Mount the small three-leaf grass image from the Oh Snap Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly onto the Granny Apple Green curved pieces as many times as you want. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Use Stampin' Seal and the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the alligator/crocodile cut out back in place.
Adhere the layered rectangle to the front of the Granny Apple Green card.
