Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pool Party Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 1-1/4" x 5-1/2" dotted Bermuda Bay ombre design from Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper, cut so the design fades from dark on the left side to light on the right side
- 3-3/4" x 4-1/2" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Shaded Spruce Cardstock
- 1" x 1-1/2" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Oh Snap Set, place the cardstock or designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Oh Snap Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the front of the Pool Party card.
Mount the small grouping of fish and bubbles image from the Oh Snap Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Bermuda Bay Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the strip of Oh So Ombre Designer Paper where the color is lighter.
Adhere the stamped strip of Oh So Ombre Designer Paper to the bottom edge of the front of the stamped Pool Party card. Try not to get the adhesive too close to the top edge of the designer paper as you will be tucking the plant cut outs under the edge in a later step.
Pick out the long, grass and cat tail die from the Dockside Dies. Put it on top of one of the Shaded Spruce rectangles on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Repeat with the other Shaded Spruce rectangle. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the cardstock each time if needed.
Flip one of the grass and cat tail cut outs over so the cat tail is on the left side. Put Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the cut out. Flip the cut out back over so the cat tail is on the right side again and adhere it to the front of the card on the right side so it is just tucked under the top of the designer paper strip. Let a bit of the right edge of the cut out hang over the right edge of the card. Trim off the excess using Paper Snips.
Leave the other grass and cat tail cut out with the cat tail is on the right side. Put Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the cut out. Flip the cut out over so the cat tail is on the left side and adhere it to the front of the card on the left side so it is just tucked under the top of the designer paper strip. Let a bit of the left edge of the cut out hang over the left edge of the card. Trim off the excess using Paper Snips.
Mount the large alligator/crocodile image from the Oh Snap Set on Block F bending the stamp slightly so the end of the tail is closer to the top of the end of the mouth making the stamp a little less tall. Ink it up with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Granny Apple Green rectangle.
Use the Stampin' Chalk Marker to color in the alligator/crocodile's teeth. The white will become more apparent as the ink dries.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the stamped alligator/crocodile.
Use Stampin' Seal and Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the alligator/crocodile cut out to the front of the card as shown. Make sure the gap between the two pieces of grass and cat tail cut outs is covered.
Pick out the jumping frog die from the Dockside Dies. Put it on top of the small Granny Apple Green rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the cardstock if needed.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the frog cut out so it looks like it is jumping out of the alligator/crocodile's open mouth.
